Makeup Revolution Wonderplump Cream Duo, a collaboration with Amanda Holden.

Hey there lovelies! Teresa here and welcome to my blog Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Before I begin I must mention that I did purchase the product that I’m about to tell you about, myself, Mark my partner gave me cash for my birthday in April. Let’s look at the packaging first eh?

Pretty in pink with gold trim and pair of red lips on the glass jar, so glamourous!

There are two creams inside this jar. The white gel cream is a lightweight texture and should be applied to the neck and decollate to help lift and firm the area. For me, personally, I haven’t noticed any lifting but the skin on my neck and chest looks smoother. Because the white cream is so lightweight it sinks in like a dream, and it doesn’t leave any stickiness either. Neck creams that I have used in the past have been so sticky that I have had to powder over the top, this one I don’t need to.

The lilac-coloured cream is dense cream compared to the white gel cream. Applied to the face for helping to make your skin plumper and more hydrated. This really is a gorgeous face cream, I love it! I would buy it if it was in a jar by itself.

With ingredients such as Myoxinal to help reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, and Vitamin E to help keep skin moisturised and plumped, there is  Golden Algae to help to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, and to help prevent the signs of ageing. Hyaluronic Acid is in there as well which helps to keep skin hydrated & plump. It’s an all-around lovely facial moisturiser plus neck cream, and I just love how my skin looks after using it. I’m 63 and I have my glow back!

Optimum PhytoFreeze by Superdrug.. Face and Neck Cream.

Hiya lovelies, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty!

I have written a few reviews on Superdrug’s own range of  science based skincare, Optimum, and January saw the launch of their new PhytoFreeze Face & Neck Cream and Eye Cream. These two products offer an “instant anti-wrinkle effect, helping to tighten the skin and give an instant lifting effect” They both contain a unique active ingredient called Vin-upLift, and based on Swiss Ice Wine which has been produced from naturally frozen grapes, it’s very rich in certain sugars and polysaccharides which is meant to give instant lift and moisture to the skin. The grapes are actually harvested from Swiss vineyards and are picked by hand after the first fall of snow in Winter when the grapes have been frozen on the vine. Okay, so that’s the “science” bit, what did I think to the products? I’ll start with the Face and Neck Cream!

Firstly, can I just say that I love the pretty pink/purple packaging! I also love that this cream has a pump-action delivery system, so you get just the right amount you need to use. There is beautiful Shea Butter in the face and neck cream, which helps with softening and conditioning of the skin, Vitamin E is also present to help protect the skin from environmental damage which would lead to premature aging of the skin. There is a lovely fresh fragrance to it, not heavy or synthetic at all.

So did it deliver an instant effect? For me not right away, my skin certainly wasn’t lifted instantly, although there was instant smoothness and hydration from just the one pump worth that I massaged using upward and outward motion to help with the lifting effect. I used another one pump worth to massage upwards on my neck and decollete. Again the smoothness and hydration I got from the cream to that area is lovely. For me, the lifting effect wasn’t instant. Now, after a few weeks of using the Face and Neck cream my skin is definitely firmer looking and my neck is a lot less saggy looking. Out of all the Optimum products I’ve tried, this is my favourite for sure.

Just a quick word about using this cream under makeup. I found applying foundation straight away I got a bit of “roll off” where the product collected into little balls leaving my face looking patchy. I now apply my foundation after leaving the cream to sink in for about 15 minutes, now I don’t have a problem.

At Superdrug the Optimum PhtytoFreeze Face and Neck Cream is normally £14.99, right now there is an offer of 2 for  £12.00 on selected Optimum PhytoFreeze products. HERE.
