Makeup Revolution Wonderplump Cream Duo, a collaboration with Amanda Holden.

Hey there lovelies! Teresa here and welcome to my blog Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Before I begin I must mention that I did purchase the product that I’m about to tell you about, myself, Mark my partner gave me cash for my birthday in April. Let’s look at the packaging first eh?

Pretty in pink with gold trim and pair of red lips on the glass jar, so glamourous!

There are two creams inside this jar. The white gel cream is a lightweight texture and should be applied to the neck and decollate to help lift and firm the area. For me, personally, I haven’t noticed any lifting but the skin on my neck and chest looks smoother. Because the white cream is so lightweight it sinks in like a dream, and it doesn’t leave any stickiness either. Neck creams that I have used in the past have been so sticky that I have had to powder over the top, this one I don’t need to.

The lilac-coloured cream is dense cream compared to the white gel cream. Applied to the face for helping to make your skin plumper and more hydrated. This really is a gorgeous face cream, I love it! I would buy it if it was in a jar by itself.

With ingredients such as Myoxinal to help reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, and Vitamin E to help keep skin moisturised and plumped, there is  Golden Algae to help to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, and to help prevent the signs of ageing. Hyaluronic Acid is in there as well which helps to keep skin hydrated & plump. It’s an all-around lovely facial moisturiser plus neck cream, and I just love how my skin looks after using it. I’m 63 and I have my glow back!

When Nanny and Granddaughter Love the Same Thing!

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

My 14 year old Granddaughter loves her makeup, just like her Nanny (me) so we decided to get her the Makeup Revolution 12 Days of Christmas box as a gift. Mark went off to our local Superdrug to pick it up, and when he got home and showed me, well I very nearly said she wouldn’t like it, but I do! (I couldn’t open the box to see what was inside as it was sealed, but knowing the Makeup Revolution brand it had be good) Of course actually, I knew my Granddaughter would absolutely love it, which she did!

Christmas day arrived and Mark gave me my gifts from under the tree, and one of those gifts was the Makeup Revolution 12 Days of Christmas makeup box. I was really rather pleased. The cream coloured box with pretty gold design and branding will make a lovely storage box for, you know, stuff?

Inside are 12 products, which are all exclusive to the 12 Days of Christmas box I believe. I can’t seem to find the separate products on the Revolution website, although the eyebrow palette is.

I was pleased to see a set of mini brushes inside, which feel so soft and are extremely pretty to look at. There’s two fixing sprays, which are much needed as it’s something that I never seem to replace when I run out.

Everything in the box are full sized products, the palettes are the beautifully pigmented quality that we know we get from the Revolution brand. I’m really looking forward to having a proper play with everything.

I only had one issue with this whole collection to be honest. There is a trio of lip glosses which are really beautiful nude/natural colours and right up my street, but they are rather sticky on the lips for me. The pigment and shine is gorgeous yes, but oh they do feel uncomfortable to wear.

So, inside the 12 Days of Christmas gift box you will find….

4 Travel Makeup Brushes

Lip Gloss Trio

Illuminating Fixing Spray

Cooling Fixing Spray

Mattifying Primer

Illuminating Eye Primer

Velvet Mattes Pigment Palette

Brow Palette

Ultimate Neutrals Pigment Palette

Ultra Contour Palette

Blush and Highlight Palette

Metallic Crush Pigment Palette

Mark purchased my box from Superdrug, but it doesn’t seem to be available there anymore. However, it is on sale at HALF PRICE on the Revolution website HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Makeup Revolution Renaissance Palette…Daytime

So Mark surprised me with a little Superdrug delivery last week and one of the products inside was this smashing palette by Makeup Revolution, this is the Renaissance Palette, Daytime.

A cute little compact sized palette in a pretty cream with rose gold hard wear, and the palette itself is shrouded in a cream velour pouch which is snuggled in a cream and gold  box. Now the photos have been taken I wont keep my palette in the box or pouch, the box will go into the recycling bin, and the pouch I’m keeping in my handbag for when I’m out and about, sometimes I get the urge to have to remove the jewellery I’m wearing that day, and it was always like searching an abyss in my hand bag to retrieve earrings so now I can just pop them in the little pouch should the urge take me! Anyway I digress, what did I think of the Renaissance Palette?

The palette is as pretty on the inside as it is on the outside. The five neutral eyeshadows are sitting in a bed of gold, and are a really good size individually. The first shade is a cream coloured shimmer shade for highlighting the eye the others are all matte eyeshadows. There’s a double ended applicator laying to the front of the palette, this time it’s brushes on both ends instead of the usual sponge applicator. The eyeshadows themselves are as you would expect from Makeup Revolution, lovely and buttery soft and so easy to blend. I got a little fall out from the darkest shade when putting under my lower lashes, but a quick swipe with a fluffy brush and it’s soon sorted.

The Renaissance Palette Daytime is just what it says it is, perfect for your natural daytime look, and there’s one for night time too, with both just £8.00 each on TAM Beauty website HERE. If you aren’t in the UK, TAM Beauty does ship internationally. If you are in the UK you can also buy from Superdrug online HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today, I shall be back soon to share a few more colour cosmetics products with you. I feel like it’s been an absolute age since I had some makeup reviews here on EAB so I must rectify that.

See you soon.

My 2016 Beauty Highlights!

Hello lovelies, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome to the first Elegant Ageless Beauty of 2017..

I hope that those of you who celebrate it, all had a fabulous Christmas. For my first post of 2017 I thought that I would share with you what products I have really loved during 2016, and there are many to be honest, more skincare than makeup I reckon so here goes and I shall start with some makeup brushes.

LeonHardy-vpBrushSet

These absolutely stunning brushes are full of Swarovski crystals. By Leon Hardy and sent to me from Thomas Dittas to review, they are by far my favourite brushes. I love the way they look, the weight is perfect and because they aren’t too long means I can use my little magnifying mirror in my hand for close up application. If you would like to read my full review of these stunning brushes you can find it HERE.

Winning Heaven Skincare Gold Bee Venom Mask in their 21st birthday competition was one of the best things that happened to me and my blog last year! I’ve used it many times since I’ve had it and my skin always looks fantastic afterwards and for a few days thereafter too. I think I’m the luckiest blogger to have won such a prestigious product. If you want to see my full, honest review, go HERE.

beepeel

Now this product, the Heaven Skincare Bee Peel was sent to me as a complete surprise. It arrived right out of the blue. It’s the newest of Heaven Skincare’s products, to exfoliate and resurface the look of the skin. It really is FABULOUS! Just look at the beautiful packaging too! If you would like to see my full review of the Bee Peel you can see it HERE.

So last April for my birthday, Jackie from Tam Beauty/Makeup Revolution very kindly gifted me the fantastic Fortune Favours The Brave eye shadow palette, which was created in collaboration with Jane Cunningham, British Beauty Blogger. I’ve used it such a lot over the year, and really enjoy it still. My full review is HERE.

omorviczabalm3

I dipped my toes into the cleansing balm water last year, thanks to my friend Kim who is Global Director of Spa Development at Omorovicza Cosmetics, and also beauty blogger at thefabcompany. Kim very kindly sent me a couple of wonderful products to try, one being this amazing Thermal Cleansing Balm from Hungarian brand Omorovicza. I absolutely adored using it and I’m hoping to be able to treat myself to another one. If you would like to read my review, which includes links to Kim’s blog too, click HERE.

ttmasksnowalgae3

Ahh, Timeless Truth sheet facial masks! A true obsession over the last year. With thanks to my friend Angela, I got to try out a lot of Timeless Truth masks, including the newest one. Snow Algae & Hyalauronic Bio Cellulose mask. I’ve tried a couple of sheet masks from another brand, but they just don’t match up to these, in my opinion. There’s a link HERE if you would like to see some reviews of all Timeless Truth masks I’ve tried.

Well, that’s some of my 2016 highlights in a nutshell, and I would just like to say a big thank you to all these amazing companies who have sent me such gorgeous products to try, and then to review them here on Elegant Ageless Beauty. I also want to say a massive thank you to all of you, if it wasn’t for you all reading my blog there would be no Elegant Ageless Beauty. THANK YOU!

Top 5 Makeup Revolution Products….

Hello lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty. I’m Teresa.

Today I thought that I would share with you my top 5 Makeup Revolution products. I don’t have a huge collection of their products, but what I do own I love, so here are a few of my absolute favourites. Let me start with complexion products.

IMG_3183

The All About Cream palette is an absolute dream of a blusher palette. There is a shade to suit all skin tones from pretty coral and peach tones to super gorgeous pinks, which are my favourites. My full review of the palette is HERE.

My Fortune Favours the Brave eyeshadow palette doesn’t look this pristine anymore. I have adored using the eyeshadows, especially the golden and taupe shades, they suit my green eyes. The quality as always with Makeup Revolution is amazing. To see my full review click HERE.

I’m not one for strobing or overly highlighting my face, but I do add a slight shimmer to the tops of my cheekbones to add a subtle glow. This 3 Highlighter palette from Makeup Revolution is so pretty with 3 different colours of powder highlighter. I mainly use the centre one which a peachy shade and very pretty. To read my full review click HERE.

FreedomGlowTonic

This product is from Freedom Makeup which is a sister brand to Makeup Revolution. I’ve only been using the Glycolic Glow Tonic for a few weeks and I am obsessed with it, apparently it’s a great dupe for the Pixi glow tonic, I can’t confirm this as I’ve never used the high end one. If you would like to read my thoughts on this glow tonic and why I love it, click HERE.

MURRoseGoldLipstick

I don’t have many Makeup Revolution lipsticks but the ones I do have I love, and my favourite and one that I’ve been wearing a lot over the Summer is this Rose Gold lipstick in the shade Girls Best Friend. It’s so creamy and moisturising on the lips. Check out my full review HERE.

So that’s just 5 of my favourite products from Makeup Revolution and Freedom Makeup. What are your favourites? I’d love to know.

There’s now a one stop shop for all Makeup Revolution and Freedom Makeup plus much more at TAM Beauty HERE.
