Makeup Revolution Wonderplump Cream Duo, a collaboration with Amanda Holden.

Hey there lovelies! Teresa here and welcome to my blog Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Before I begin I must mention that I did purchase the product that I’m about to tell you about, myself, Mark my partner gave me cash for my birthday in April. Let’s look at the packaging first eh?

Pretty in pink with gold trim and pair of red lips on the glass jar, so glamourous!

There are two creams inside this jar. The white gel cream is a lightweight texture and should be applied to the neck and decollate to help lift and firm the area. For me, personally, I haven’t noticed any lifting but the skin on my neck and chest looks smoother. Because the white cream is so lightweight it sinks in like a dream, and it doesn’t leave any stickiness either. Neck creams that I have used in the past have been so sticky that I have had to powder over the top, this one I don’t need to.

The lilac-coloured cream is dense cream compared to the white gel cream. Applied to the face for helping to make your skin plumper and more hydrated. This really is a gorgeous face cream, I love it! I would buy it if it was in a jar by itself.

With ingredients such as Myoxinal to help reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, and Vitamin E to help keep skin moisturised and plumped, there is  Golden Algae to help to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, and to help prevent the signs of ageing. Hyaluronic Acid is in there as well which helps to keep skin hydrated & plump. It’s an all-around lovely facial moisturiser plus neck cream, and I just love how my skin looks after using it. I’m 63 and I have my glow back!

Trying To Get My Glow Back. 60 plus Beauty on a Budget..

Hello lovely people, Happy New Year 2023! Welcome back to my blog Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa, and I hope you are all doing okay.

My goodness, it’s rather chilly here in the UK at the moment, and I am feeling cold when I usually don’t. I tend to only pop the heating on to warm the radiators when I do get too badly cold during the day when I’m on my own, anything to save money with the cost of living crisis we (some) are facing.

I thought that for this post on my blog, I would share with you the skincare that I’m using currently, and as I’m in my early 60’s now I need products to help my skin get a bit of a glow as it can look a bit grey. I’m not bothered about wrinkles, they are a sign that I have lived and I’m lucky to be this age, it is more about skincare for giving me some glow and radiance back to my face, and at a budget affordable for me.

First up is cleansing, and I love the No7 Radiant Results Revitalising Foaming Cleanser, which unfortunately I believe is now discontinued, which is such a shame. I need to find an alternative.

Next up is the wonderful Gentle Facial Exfoliator by Cyclax. With Green Tea, Shea Butter and fine granules of Walnut shells this is a really gentle exfoliator for my dry mature skin, I use it about 3 times a week and it’s enough for me and it doesn’t dry my skin. You can purchase from Amazon UK HERE.

When I’m not using the exfoliator I will use the Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Toner. You will find Lacura products in your local Aldi supermarket. The Rose toner is so moisturising and calming with Hyaluronic acid and Aloe Vera, Rose and Elderflower, it actually smells amazing too and it’s also alcohol-free.

Now, one of the best sheet face masks I’ve used. This is the Nivea Natural Radiance 10-Minute Sheet Mask. This is the best treat for my tired-looking skin. It’s infused with Argan Oil  Shea butter, and Magnolia Bark extract. The sheet mask itself fits okay and feels soft to the touch when on the skin. I applied it and relaxed for 10 minutes and when I removed it I massaged the serum into my face. After a while, I noticed my skin looked so radiant, the best I’ve had it looking in a long time. I really do need to purchase some more of these sheet masks! By the way, they’re biodegradable too. My daughter gave me this mask for Christmas and I’m not sure where she purchased it, but you could check out Nivea’s website HERE. Oh, and yes, it came with the facial roller too.

My favourite daily moisturiser for giving me a more glowy complexion is my gorgeous Cyclax Moistura Daily moisturiser, I love this! It may be light but for my dry mature face it’s perfect and under foundation, it works perfectly for me whether I am using a matte or dewy foundation. You could pop over to Amazon UK for this HERE.

Lastly my eye cream of choice at the moment is the Boots Ingredients Caffeine Eye Cream. Caffeine is an antioxidant, so is perfect for using around the eye area, it makes the skin look, fresher more hydrated and moisturised. I tend to tap the cream into the skin gently and leave to soak in before starting any makeup. You can purchase from HERE.

Well, that’s me done for now, thank you so much for stopping by and reading today, I shall be back with more product reviews soon.

Take care,

Teresa.

No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Day and Nightcream.

Hello lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa. I hope you are all doing okay.

I’ve got some more gorgeous skincare from No7 to share with you today. I just need to explain to you that the packaging has changed for this range of No7 products, but the formulation within is still the same. So, I’ll start with the Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream.

A daily moisturiser with the protection of SPF 15. ( I would however also add a separate SPF) The day cream is formulated with Ginseng extracts to help fight the look of tired dull skin, with Antioxidant Complex and Rice Peptides which helps to protect the skin from the environment. Hyaluronic Acid in this day cream will leave the skin feeling plumped and moisturised. MATRIXYL 3000 PLUS is No7’s own next-generation anti-wrinkle peptide technology.

This feels gorgeously rich for a day cream, and massaging into my face I could feel the nourishment my skin was getting, my face really does drink in this product! It’s very much one of those products that you can see working within days of using it too, well for me I noticed the difference in my skin with a week. It’s more glowing, moisturised/hydrated, definitely plumper and so soft too. It’s a fab base to start putting my foundation onto as well. The No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream is well and truly a staple in my skincare regime now.

Then onto the No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Night Cream., and it’s another beauty too!

Just like the day cream, the night cream has new-look packaging, and again the product inside is still the same. This night cream is formulated with Vitamins A, C, and E which helps to give the skin a fresh and radiant look. There’s Hyaluronic acid within to help provide hydration. Matrixyl 3000 PLUS is No7’s own next-generation anti-wrinkle peptide technology. It is meant to target the appearance of lines and wrinkles, therefore giving the look of younger-looking skin. With a Double Defence Technology, the formula protects the skin from free radicals generated by suns exposure. The night cream is working through the night to help re-energise the look of the skin, leaving it looking fresher in the morning.

I have to say that since I started using this gorgeous cream at night time, my skin in the mornings always looks bright and fresh. Again it’s a really rich night cream they do tend to be richer than the day cream, but OMG, my skin loves this! And I love this night cream right back! You can find this and other No7 Protect and Perfect products HERE.

I have another Protect and Perfect product coming to EAB soon and I hope you come back to see it. In the meantime take care of yourselves, stay safe.

{AD-Gifted} Lotil Original, seriously good dry skin cream!

Hey, there my lovelies.

How are you all doing? I’m so sorry for not posting for such an age, I’ve just been feeling that there are more important things going on in the world right now, people might not be interested in reading blogs, especially product reviews. But, people have been reading here on my blog which is fantastic, thank you!

Even in lockdown, I have been lucky enough to have been sent some lovely products to try out and then review them here on EAB. This dry skin cream and lip balm from the brand Lotil really are seriously good. I do have dry skin anyway, which has gotten dry during the aging process, but it just seems to have become drier over the last few weeks while being shut-in more than normal. The tops of my feet, elbows, and oh my goodness, my lips have been very dry, and not forgetting my hands. Oh the hands, they have really taken a battering with all the extra handwashing!  I expect you are all the same? but then along came the fabulous Lotil Cream. Before I begin I should say that it does contain Lanolin, which is a wax that’s secreted from the wool of a sheep, and so this product is not vegan friendly. However Lotil does not test on animals. Other ingredients I have listed below for you.

Aqua (Water), Glyceryl Stearate SE, Glycerin, Lanolin Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Oleic Acid, Triethanolamine, Stearic Acid, p-Chloro-m-Cresol, Parfum (Fragrance), Linalool, Limonene, Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Anise Alcohol, Benzyl Cinnamate.

Lotil Cream has been in households for over 100 years. Great for all the family to use and in any way at all where dry, chapped skin needs to be soothed, and it gives protection from the enviroment too. The fragrance isn’t overpowering at all, it smells rather like a fresh body talc in my opinion, really quite lovely. Lotil cream also has anti-bacterial and antiseptic properties which gives lasting protection from infection. It’s a rich cream that is easily and quickly absorbed into the skin without leaving a greasy feel.

I have used Lotil cream on various parts of my body. I have used it on my feet after bathing, and removed hard skin, applied the cream to them and popped on socks, boom, no more rough hard skin! My feet remained soft for a fair while so that I can now wear my sandals. I’ve massaged some cream into the skin around my toenails, lovely and soft now. My hands have been very dry and sore due to all the extra handwashing, but massaging Lotil cream into them has softned them completely, the backs of my hands really were looking old and wrinkly, but now so much smoother looking.

So about 10 years ago I sustained an injury to my shin, I bumped into the coffee table and got a rather big bruise, which ended up turning into a nasty ulcer, which was literally eating away at my leg. I had to have foot to thigh bandaging for about 6 months. At the end of those 6 months I had a leg as hairy as a Gorilla and a scar about 3 inches big! I solved the problem of the hairy leg with shaving, but the scar I have for the rest of my life, there is nothing I can do about it, I live with it. My scar does get very dry, especially in the colder months when I wear trousers all the time. I just applied my regular body lotion to keep it soft and smooth looking. But sometimes I had to apply the body lotion 2-3 times a day which got rather tedious, and I eventually didn’t bother. Now I have Lotil Cream to apply to my scar, and I will never apply anything else again. It’s fantastic! I’m going to show you photos of my scar. The first one is before application of the Lotil Cream.

Can you see how dry and scaly my scar is? Sometimes it would itch too. I am always aware not to scratch at the scar as there is every possibility that it could cause bleeding then there would be a chance that it would ulcerate again.

This is my scar after applying Lotil Cream. It’s so much softer and smoother. The dry scaly skin has disappeared and so has the itchiness too. Lotil Cream once it’s sunk into my skin lasts for ages, I never have to re-apply during the day. It doesn’t leave a greasy residue that could stick to clothes, it absorbes completely. Now I use Lotil Cream as part of my regular beauty routine. Lotil Cream comes in various pack sizes.

30ml – handy miniature tube
50ml – handbag-sized tube
114ml – multi-purpose home use tub
500ml – extra large container with pump dispenser

I have also been using and loving a lot, the Lotil Lip Care lip balm, with SPF 30. It contains all the beautiful caring goodies that the Lotil Cream has, it’s fragrance free and no nasty taste to it either. I was suffering from sore lips because I’m a lip licker, and applying the Lotil Lip Care has helped with that too. I always like to apply lip balm at the start of my makeup application, by the time I get to lipstick my lips are soft and smooth ready for lippy. I often apply lip balm and then take a cotton bud and scrub over my lips to exfoliate, wipe away excess then re-apply lip balm, bingo soft smooth lips! Lotil Lip Care is great for that pupose too.

I really have my new “hero” products with Lotil. They also have foot treatment products in the range and I’m going to be giving them a go too. You will find all Lotil products on Amazon HERE. You can also purchase at Boots too, but right now it is out of stock and you could try again later HERE.

Thank you for stopping by and reading today my lovelies, stay safe.
