A Glowing Boots Haul!

Hello, my lovelies, I hope you all doing well and welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I did another little Boots online shop a couple of weeks ago which I thought that I’d share with you here. I don’t usually do so much online beauty shopping but recently, needs must. Needs must? Yep, to keep my blog alive and ticking along. I don’t get anything in the way of PR products sent to me anymore so I must purchase them myself. I’m too old for PR’s now methinks. So here is my latest Boots haul that I purchased online. I’m calling this a glowing Boots haul because there are a few skincare products here to help my skin to glow…

I think I could have titled this “A Pretty Boots Haul” because the products really are rather all that! Here’s what I purchased.

Boots Glow Cleansing Oil 100ml

Boots Glow Gel Mask 50ml

YourGoodSkin ProVitamin Overnight Cream 50ml

Boots Glow Brightening Mist 100ml

Boots Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid Serum 30ml

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Nail Strengthener

Boots Ingredients Caffeine Eye Cream 15ml

No7 Summer Edit Limited Edition Face Palette

This online order was originally over £50, but because of the offer of 3 for 2 on Boots products, I did have a discount of £6.50. It’s what I love about shopping with Boots you can get really great bargains with the many offers they provide.

I’ll have reviews of everything as soon as poss. In fact, I will have a review of the Summer Edit palette shortly, so I hope you will come back for that.

Thank you for stopping by today, take care.

A Little Essence Cosmetics Haul….

Hello, lovelies, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

I recently popped into my local Wilko aiming to get a few Essence Cosmetics products that I’ve had my eye on for a while. I wanted the Lash Princess mascara but to be honest the Essence stand wasn’t well-stocked at all. There were a few other things I was after and couldn’t get hold of, so my shopping list/haul ended up slightly different. But alls well that ends well, as they say, this is what I did pick up.

I have been after a decent eyeshadow blending brush and smudge brush for a while, they had to be of low budget and Essence does have rather good brushes I’d seen. So that’s what I picked up. I’ve yet to use them so I will get back to you with my thoughts of them, soon. I have always known that a dark blue eyeliner is particularly flattering for the mature lady’s eye makeup so I picked up this lovely propelling pencil in the shade Cool Down, it’s a blue-grey shade, said to be long-lasting 18-hour waterproof wear, I’ll let you know how I get on with that one too! The products from my little beauty booty that I have actually used are rather good! The Banana nail file is absolutely brilliant. I don’t like a real course file for my nails and this one is perfect for me. It’s double-sided, one side (black) is to shorten the nails and the pink side is to smooth and shape. I love it! It leaves my nails so smooth and ready for all the nail treatments and polish. A right good nail file. The two glitter nail polishes are all ready for the coming Christmas season (sorry) The pretty pink glitter polish is in the shade 07 Party Princess. The glitter is very fine particles and really do sparkle and shine when on the nails, it’s gorgeous! The purple/silver glitter polish is in the shade 23 Party Time. This one has bigger glitter particles and again is very shiny when it catches the light. This one, however, is a bit of a devil to take off. I’m now looking to get myself a peel-off basecoat. I picked up the Lashes of the Day super volume mascara, and because I was thinking that I would need it, I also got myself the Essence Volume Booster lash primer. I do have a review of both these products coming up, but I can tell you that I don’t need the lash primer when I wear the lashes of the Day mascara!

So, that was my little Essence/Wilko beauty haul. I’ll be back with reviews very soon. Thank you for stopping by today.

A Small Superdrug Haul……

Hello my lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I had these gorgeous products sitting in my basket on the Superdrug website for some time now, so I thought it was about time to actually click “pay” and purchase them. In the interest of transparency I have to tell you that nothing in this beauty booty is pr gifted, I paid for it all myself. I have previously worked with Superdrug and had products from all these ranges gifted to me in the past, that’s why I buy them myself now to be honest, I know they work for me. Although I’ve never had pr from Rimmel, ever. I shall just have to dream about that, loving Rimmel nail care and polishes like I do!

For me, anything that has the Superdrug name on it works for me. Be it their varying ranges of skincare or their own range of makeup that is B. by Superdrug. The Optimum range of skincare is one of my favourites, and that range in particular caters for anyones skincare needs, whatever age. The newest range from Optimum is the night-time or bed time range of products. I treated myself to the Cleansing Balm and the Moisture Mask. I also got myself two products from the Optimum PhytoSurvive range, the Multi Protecting Serum and the Multi Protecting Day Cream.

Another Superdrug own brand of skincare is B. Skincare. I chose two cleansing products. A mahoosive bottle of Micellar Water, and a simply delicious bottle of the Micellar Oil, which is an oil to milk cleanser. From B. Makeup I picked up the Flawless Duo Concealer. All Superdrug own brand products are Vegan friendly.

Lastly I treated myself to two Rimmel 60 second super shine nail polishes, in the shades Black Cherries and Berries and Cream.

Well that’s just a few of the gorgeous products that I picked up from Superdrug a while back, and I’ve since added a few more to my basket, like Flower Beauty’s foundation and concealer ( a lovely looking makeup range by Drew Barrymore, the actress) I can’t wait to get my hands on those in a few weeks.

Thank you for stopping by today, I’ll come back soon with reviews of some of the products in my haul.

Microcell Nail Repair….Try Me Kit

Hello beauty lovers, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

I adore anything to do with nails! So surprisingly this is the first nail product review I’ve done on EAB for a long time. I was recently sent a lovely “Try Me” kit from KLM Beauty to try and then review here on my blog. This is the Microcell Nail Repair Try Me Kit.

From the right hand side of the picture is the “hero” product in the whole kit the Nail Repair itself. It’s a 4.5ml of product which is designed to repair and treat the nails. It’s amazing for dry brittle nails, helps to prevent splitting and peeling, and peeling is the problem that I’ve always had with my nails. But since using Microcell Nail Repair my nails are beautiful, I am so happy with them. Nail Repair is also designed to accelerate growth, and guess what? It truly has helped me get my nails looking fabulous in ONE MONTH! This how Microcell suggest to use the treatment.

Application of Nail Repair: Apply one layer of NAIL REPAIR on two consecutive days. On the third treatment day remove all varnish layers with NAIL REMOVER REPAIR and repeat the treatment as on the first and second day. The treatment should be carried out for 2 – 3 weeks. Then it is recommended to use NAIL REPAIR weekly as a base coat.

This is a picture of my nails on the first day of using my Microcell Nail Repair Try Me Kit.

The bottle of pretty nail polish in the shade Raspberry Kiss, is not just any old nail polish, this is the Colour and Repair, a quick drying varnish which will also strengthen the nails. Colour and Repair is enriched with silicon and also has  calcium, green algae and a unique Diamond-Gloss in there too. I applied one coat of the Colour and Repair to my nails during the second week of using the treatment. I applied it to bare nails without Nail Repair on. It does apply beautifully and quite opaque that I only needed the one coat.

This is my nails with Raspberry Kiss Colour and Repair after one week. It didn’t chip at all, in fact I saw regrowth of my nail, as you can see in the picture. I do want some more colours of the Colour and Repair varnishes, there are some really pretty shades in the range too. The third cute little try me is a 4.5ml bottle of Nail Wonder, which is a 5 in 1 “wonder product” as a quick drying top coat, a colour refresher, a smoothing ridge filler, protects against peeling and/or chipping and also protects against dehydration. Yes it works as a quick drying top coat, I was touch dry within 5 minutes and it gave a very shiny finish to my nail polish. During the week I added a coat of Nail Wonder just to refresh may manicure, it works for that too! A wonderous product, for me.

Lastly in my try me kit is the bottle of remover. “The NAIL REPAIR REMOVER 50ml – An acetone-free polish remover which works in synergy with NAIL REPAIR and is suitable for all nail types but is especially effective on weak, fragile nails” I LOVED this! It leaves my nails “squeaky” clean when I removed my polish, without leaving them dry.

This is my nails today! I have been using my Microcell  Nail Repair Try Me Kit for a whole month, and this is the result that I have. I am loving my nails again, for me this is going to be my new holy grail nail treatment. I shall be using the Nail Repair as a treatment once a month for a week, then as a base coat for my colour.

Purchase Microcell Nail Repair Try Me Kit HERE. I shall be purchasing the Nail Repair Beauty Kit myself, which is the Nail Repair treatment in full size and the remover in full size, and right now they are on sale until end of September, while stocks last.

Thank you to KLM Beauty for letting me try these fabulous products. Click to see more HERE.

A Small Essence Haul from Wilko…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

Mark and I just had to get into the car and get out for a while on Sunday, after we had a really rubbish week. I wanted to purchase a few Essence cosmetics goodies from Wilko online but because the rubbish week was down to a bit of online fraud on Mark’s bank account we decided to go to our nearest Wilko store instead, safer that way.

I did write myself a list of Essence products I wanted but only managed to get a few from said list, our local store didn’t have everything in, but what I did buy I was happy with. I’ll be writing reviews on EAB soon.

I’m really looking forward to trying the Essence Camouflage 2 in 1 Foundation & Concealer, will I still need my concealer? We’ll see, and I will get back to you, soon  It was only £3.80. I’ve always wanted to try a lip oil, and when I saw this one by Essence I thought that I’d give it a go. I’ve no idea what a lip oil is for, does it colour, does it condition, does it hydrate? I’ll get back to you on that. The lip oil was just £2.00. I have wanted to try an Essence mascara for ages, especially one that claims to give “extreme volume and curl” my eyelashes or rather the state of them is really depressing me. I’d give my right arm to be able to go and get eyelash extensions done but until my numbers come up in the Lotto I shall keep on looking for my holy grail mascara. Could this be the one? I’ll let you know. The Essence False Lashes mascara is £2.80. I hate my lips as much as I do my eyelashes! If I could afford lip fillers I wouldn’t hesitate in getting them done! So until I do get that big Lotto cheque it’s lip plumping products for me! I picked up the Essence Volume On! lip plumping lipgloss, it’s a pretty nude peach shade, so I’ll give it a go and get back to you with my thoughts. The Essence Volume On! lip plumping lipgloss is £2.30 and finally I picked up a Nail Caring Oil it contains Apricot oil so I’m looking forward to trying that too. I’m in the middle of trialing some nail products at the moment, so I’ll let you know what the Essence product is like, soon. The Essence Nail Caring Oil is just £2.00.

I purchased my Essence products from my local Wilko stores but you can purchase online from Wilko too, HERE or from the Essence website HERE

Thank you for reading, I’ll be back soon with my thoughts on my Essence purchases.
