B. Cosmetics by Superdrug Flawless Duo Concealer…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

My new go-to concealer is this rather cute little duo palette by B. Cosmetics, which is a Superdrug own brand.

Two shades of concealer are within this palette which can be used separately or mixed together for your own custom blended shade that you need.

I use them separately. The lighter shade I have been using under my eyes, the darker on areas of my face that need that little bit of extra coverage, like my chin and cheeks where I do have a bit of redness. I gave up using solid cream concealer in favour of the liquid type with the doe foot applicator, as I found them quite drying on my mature skin. But this one isn’t like that at all. It’s creamy, not oily, it blends beautifully too. When I’m applying my makeup I always apply concealer after foundation to the areas that need it. The Flawless Duo concealer is great for under and over foundation, I do use a brush, but it blends just as well with fingers too. It’s not melted into the creases under my eyes and has lasted me all day until I take it all off at night. Another B. Cosmetics product I shall be re-purchasing. You can see all the shade range HERE.

Thank you for reading today.

A Small Superdrug Haul……

Hello my lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I had these gorgeous products sitting in my basket on the Superdrug website for some time now, so I thought it was about time to actually click “pay” and purchase them. In the interest of transparency I have to tell you that nothing in this beauty booty is pr gifted, I paid for it all myself. I have previously worked with Superdrug and had products from all these ranges gifted to me in the past, that’s why I buy them myself now to be honest, I know they work for me. Although I’ve never had pr from Rimmel, ever. I shall just have to dream about that, loving Rimmel nail care and polishes like I do!

For me, anything that has the Superdrug name on it works for me. Be it their varying ranges of skincare or their own range of makeup that is B. by Superdrug. The Optimum range of skincare is one of my favourites, and that range in particular caters for anyones skincare needs, whatever age. The newest range from Optimum is the night-time or bed time range of products. I treated myself to the Cleansing Balm and the Moisture Mask. I also got myself two products from the Optimum PhytoSurvive range, the Multi Protecting Serum and the Multi Protecting Day Cream.

Another Superdrug own brand of skincare is B. Skincare. I chose two cleansing products. A mahoosive bottle of Micellar Water, and a simply delicious bottle of the Micellar Oil, which is an oil to milk cleanser. From B. Makeup I picked up the Flawless Duo Concealer. All Superdrug own brand products are Vegan friendly.

Lastly I treated myself to two Rimmel 60 second super shine nail polishes, in the shades Black Cherries and Berries and Cream.

Well that’s just a few of the gorgeous products that I picked up from Superdrug a while back, and I’ve since added a few more to my basket, like Flower Beauty’s foundation and concealer ( a lovely looking makeup range by Drew Barrymore, the actress) I can’t wait to get my hands on those in a few weeks.

Thank you for stopping by today, I’ll come back soon with reviews of some of the products in my haul.

Billion Dollar Brows…..Brow Duo Pencil..

Hello loves, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I’m not a huge keeper of eyebrows, for me they aren’t the main emphasis to my makeup. I pluck to keep them groomed and add a bit of colour to wake my face up a tad, and that’s it. I have however been using this product that I’m sharing with you quite a bit just lately, especially if I leave the house. This is Billion Dollar Brows Brow Duo Pencil.

It’s a highlighter (the lightest colour) on one end of the pencil, it’s a concealer to the other end. I’ve used the highlighter end under my eyebrows, Glide the highlighter end of the pencil over the brow bone,  under your eyebrow, then blend into the skin to define your eyebrows, you can also use on the cupids bow to give lips the more plumped up look, for me it works better than a shimmery highlighter as it’s a lot less intense and more natural for someone of my age. The universal concealer end is actually a great colour match, and it’s great for spot coverage, and covering darker areas on my eyes. For me it’s not creamy enough to use under the eyes, I do need a more hydrating concealer there. The Billion Dollar Brows Brow Duo Pencil is a fab addition to my makeup bag. Find it HERE.

See you next time, I’ve got a couple of gorgeous facial oils coming up on my blog soon.

The Best Foundation Blending Sponge……EVER!

Hello and Happy 2018 my lovelies! I’m Teresa, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty…

When I was asked if I would like to review the Basic Beauty Tools foundation blending sponge and Spongedry holder I have to be honest with you it was the holder that had me saying yes please!

I’ve got and used a few brands of foundation blending sponges, and they are all pretty much the same on performance and usability. They all work better when used dampened, although some expand more than others when damp. The Basic Beauty Tools sponge is absolutely fantastic, it’s Latex FREE for one thing! And when dampened it expands more than I’ve seen on any other beauty sponge. To use mine I wet it under the cold tap and squeeze excess water out, then I squeeze it inside a clean towel to take out even more water. This particular teardrop shaped sponge is so soft and spongy when damp it’s gorgeous, it bounces over my skin when I apply my foundation using the rounded bottom (!!!) and the point is fantastic for getting into all the nooks of the face, ie around the nose and eyes, and it doesn’t soak up all my foundation and concealer into itself either, which is due to the  unique micro cell texture of the sponge.

I found my sponge to be so easy to clean, I do use the same solid soap cleanser that I use for my brushes, and then pop it to air dry on the Spongedry holder also from Basic Beauty Tools. The little holder is just fantastic to allow your sponge (any brand to!) to dry after cleaning, it dries pretty quickly, again due to the micro cell texture, and drying this way stops a buildup of bacteria as you would if you let your sponge just dry off in your makeup bag. It’s also great to store your beauty sponge on your dressing table on a daily basis too.

Check out this gorgeous foundation sponge HERE.

Essence 2 in 1 Makeup and Concealer

Hello beauties, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

So a while ago I did a small shop in Wilko and purchased some products from the wonderful Essence brand. There are a couple of products that I got that have really stood out for me and one of them being the Camouflage 2 in 1 foundation and concealer.

At just £3.80 for 30ml of product it’s a bargain. It’s a squeezy tube too which I love. I’ve not used a foundation-concealer product before so I was looking forward to using this when I got it home, but it has been sitting on my dressing table waiting for the less sunny and warm weather to arrive so that I could put away the lightweight foundations and BB Creams. I actually got around to wearing this last weekend and I found it to be fantastic! I applied it using a Real Techniques Buffing Brush then used a damp sponge to press over my skin once I applied the foundation. I took the product over my eyes paying more attention to the inner corners where I’m a bit dark. For me I think that this is a medium to full coverage, and it covered all the issues I have with my skin. I get redness on my left cheek, it was covered, I get redness around my nose, it was covered, I get redness on my chin, it’s covered by this foundation, and I also don’t need to use powder to set it. If you prefer a lighter application then apply using a damp sponge rather than a brush, and that’s just my opinion of course. I also noticed after wearing for a while that it doesn’t settle into lines or cake under my eyes. It’s long-lasting and it doesn’t transfer to the collar of  my clothes or my baby Granddaughters clothes when I’m squishing her! For me, this is a fabulous face base product, one that I shall be using a lot and will be a definite re-purchase.

If you don’t have a Wilko near you, you can purchase this and all Essence products online HERE.
