[AD-gifted] We Love! By Superdrug. Cleanser, Body Scrub and Body Butter

Hello and welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Regular readers of my blog will know I love bringing natural beauty products to share here, and before Christmas I was sent some lovely products to try, from Superdrug.

This a Superdrug own brand from the WE LOVE range of all natural products. I have tried some face masks from the range which I reviewed on EAB, I’ll leave links at the end of this post if you’d like to take a look.

One of the things I love about this range of products is that the packaging is all recyclable. Once empty just give the pots a wash and pop them into your recycling bin! I saw a review where someone said that the packaging is colourless and boring. It’s not the prettiest, but it is environmentally friendly. The products are also suitable for vegetarian and vegans.

The We Love Cleansers Coconut Cleanser is gorgeous, It smells amazing! Containing coconut oil and shea butter this is a super creamy cleanser that I do prefer to use in my morning routine. The smell of the coconut just wakes up the sluggish morning senses. It literally just melts into the skin, you don’t need a lot of product, and it then wipes away easily with a face cloth. I did find however that it’s not great at makeup removal at the end of the day. You can check out the We Love Cleansers coconut cleanser HERE.

The We Love Body Scrubs pink grapefruit jelly scrub is another big hit for me. I have been using body scrubs a bit more recently and the fruitier the better! This smells just like a pink grapefruit, it is really beautiful. With Grapefruit oil extract in there and rice germ powder for the scrubby bit. It has castor oil for moisturisation. It certainly isn’t a scratchy body scrub it’s really comfortable to use, and leaves the skin soft and glowing and smelling gorgeous! Check out the pink grapefruit jelly scrub HERE.

After the bath or shower using the jelly scrub, how about a body butter that smells like chocolate? The We Love Moisturisers Cocoa body butter is just that. It looks like a delicious milk chocolate creamy pudding and it smells like one too! It’s not quite thick enough to be called a body butter in my opinion, but even so it’s very moisturising on my skin, it’s not sticky and sinks in just lovely. It contains shea butter and cacao butter for  lovely velvety feeling skin. I suffer from very dry skin on my right shin where I have a scar, the cocoa body butter smoothed and hydrated it for me. I have used it after shaving my legs and it did tingle a little afterwards, but that soon wore off. If you love chocolate you are going to love this! Check it out HERE.

Right now in Superdrug the offer is Buy 1 get 2nd half price on selected Superdrug brand skincare.

JULY FAVOURITES!

Hi there lovely people and welcome back!

So we are are now into August, doesn’t time fly by? I’m a bit late with my July favourites but better late than never. I’ve recently been showing some love to products I’ve not used for a while this last month.

IMG_3829

Shimmer Kisses Blusher from MUA Makeup Academy is a product that I’ve started using again, it is just such a pretty blusher/highlighter with 4 different shades of pink that you can wear alone or as I do swirl together and apply to the apples of the cheeks for a gorgeous rosy glow. Find it HERE on the MUA website for only £3.00.

I love lilac nail polish and a favourite for me this month has been “Adore” from Makeup Revolution such a pretty colour for Summer and it’s only £1.00 from HERE on the  website.

My beautiful Moisture Boost shampoo and conditioner from Organic Surge. The fragrance of these pair is just very Summery and the condition it leaves my hair in is fabulous,  just what my hair needs during this heatwave in GB at the moment. If you want super conditioned hair go HERE to the website where you can get the shampoo and conditioner for £12.50.

Favourite body scrub this month has been “The Lazy Evening” Gentle Body Scrub from Calcot Manor. I love using this body scrub, it’s not too scratchy, it smells beautiful and because it has almond oil in it, it’s so moisturising, and my skin feels so soft after using. I bought this body scrub from Tesco HERE for £3.99

I’ve recently started to use my Undressed palette from  MUA again, it’s got the perfect colours for me to have a pretty natural look for the Summer.  It’s only got 3 matte shades in it which I use for the crease (or rather creating a crease) the rest are shimmer but that’s okay, I only use them on the mobile lid. Love this palette, a lot.

Lastly, a very random favourite from the last month, in fact it’s longer. I have been adding fresh lemon and fresh garden mint to my glasses of water. When I started drinking water straight from the tap it was giving me heartburn so I thought about adding mint knowing that mint is good for digestion I thought it would stop the heartburn which thankfully it has. I now add a squeeze of lemon and a thick slice of lemon with the mint to my water and it’s so refreshing, and I know that it’s good for me too. I have also added a chunk of fresh pineapple to a glass of water and a chunk of melon too. Delicious!

What’s been your favourites this last month? Tell me in the comments below, or you could join me on Facebook or Twitter too!

Thank you for reading lovely people, lots of love.

CALCOT MANOR “The Lazy Evening” GENTLE SALT SCRUB…..

Welcome back lovely people!

I do love a nice salt scrub, especially if it originates from a spa, as this one does. This one is by Calcot Manor which is a country spa retreat and their products are sold in Tesco.

IMG_3240

This salt scrub is The Lazy Evening Gentle Salt Scrub. It contains sea salt to exfoliate and smooth, and sweet almond oil to soften and hydrate. It also smells amazing too. After using, my skin felt soft smooth and moisturised and if I didn’t want too I needn’t have applied a body cream, but I did because that’s what I prefer.

(When I used this I applied it onto dry skin, including my feet and then rinsed off in the bath, we don’t have the shower working at the moment)

The packaging is lovely too, it looks like a “kilner” jar although it’s plastic, but it looks nice on my bathroom shelf. The product itself feels lovely, creamy almost gel like. The sea salt within it is of the fine texture and isn’t harsh when scrubbed onto the skin, it doesn’t scratch like some salt scrubs can. This is a lovely salt scrub and I’m enjoying using it. So if you’re shopping in Tesco pop one in your basket or you can buy online HERE  it will only set you back £3.99 which is a bargain for such a lovely salt scrub!

THIS PRODUCT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Thanks for reading lovely people.

Lucky Mum/Nanny!…. Champneys Spa Treatment Gift Set…..

So we went to visit my eldest daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandchildren at the weekend. We had to take their Christmas presents, as we hadn’t seen them over the holiday period. I was so lucky to be given a very beautiful Christmas gift from them all, and I absolutely love it! My daughter knows I love “smellies” and this really is a super indulgent “smellies” gift set.

I should think that most ladies (and probably men too) have heard of Champneys  being a Spa Hotel/resort offering pampering packages and breakaways here in the UK. It does look like an amazing place to relax and unwind!

My beautiful Champneys gift set contains products from the Spa Treatments range and I cannot wait to use it and wallow in the deliciousness that Spa treatments give.

All the beautiful products came individually tissue wrapped in the most gorgeous white with peach trim zip up vanity case. The lining inside is equally beautiful, with peach and black satin Paisley print. I think it’s a Paisley print, please correct me if I am wrong. The actual products are all full size, at least I think they are but I will check this out fully when I review all this gorgeousness!
