[AD-gifted] We Love! By Superdrug. Cleanser, Body Scrub and Body Butter

Hello and welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Regular readers of my blog will know I love bringing natural beauty products to share here, and before Christmas I was sent some lovely products to try, from Superdrug.

This a Superdrug own brand from the WE LOVE range of all natural products. I have tried some face masks from the range which I reviewed on EAB, I’ll leave links at the end of this post if you’d like to take a look.

One of the things I love about this range of products is that the packaging is all recyclable. Once empty just give the pots a wash and pop them into your recycling bin! I saw a review where someone said that the packaging is colourless and boring. It’s not the prettiest, but it is environmentally friendly. The products are also suitable for vegetarian and vegans.

The We Love Cleansers Coconut Cleanser is gorgeous, It smells amazing! Containing coconut oil and shea butter this is a super creamy cleanser that I do prefer to use in my morning routine. The smell of the coconut just wakes up the sluggish morning senses. It literally just melts into the skin, you don’t need a lot of product, and it then wipes away easily with a face cloth. I did find however that it’s not great at makeup removal at the end of the day. You can check out the We Love Cleansers coconut cleanser HERE.

The We Love Body Scrubs pink grapefruit jelly scrub is another big hit for me. I have been using body scrubs a bit more recently and the fruitier the better! This smells just like a pink grapefruit, it is really beautiful. With Grapefruit oil extract in there and rice germ powder for the scrubby bit. It has castor oil for moisturisation. It certainly isn’t a scratchy body scrub it’s really comfortable to use, and leaves the skin soft and glowing and smelling gorgeous! Check out the pink grapefruit jelly scrub HERE.

After the bath or shower using the jelly scrub, how about a body butter that smells like chocolate? The We Love Moisturisers Cocoa body butter is just that. It looks like a delicious milk chocolate creamy pudding and it smells like one too! It’s not quite thick enough to be called a body butter in my opinion, but even so it’s very moisturising on my skin, it’s not sticky and sinks in just lovely. It contains shea butter and cacao butter for  lovely velvety feeling skin. I suffer from very dry skin on my right shin where I have a scar, the cocoa body butter smoothed and hydrated it for me. I have used it after shaving my legs and it did tingle a little afterwards, but that soon wore off. If you love chocolate you are going to love this! Check it out HERE.

Right now in Superdrug the offer is Buy 1 get 2nd half price on selected Superdrug brand skincare.

November Favourites…..

Hello loves, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

So December is here and it won’t be long until Christmas, if you celebrate it. I thought I’d share with you a few things that I’ve been loving over the last month. Some I’ve only had a couple of days but believe me I absolutely love them!

IMG_9583a

The first product is a lipstick, I never thought that a red lipstick would be in my “favourites” but hey ho, or HO ho (sorry) This is beautiful, by MUA Makeup Academy, just £1.00 and it’s shade “Vintage Rouge” You can find it HERE

I’ve had the beautiful Winter Protection gift set from Heaven by Deborah Mitchell for just a matter of days, and I already am so in love with them! The packaging for a start is beautiful, and I know what goodness are inside the jars. I really can’t wait to review them for you in a couple of weeks. Heaven Skincare can be found HERE

The Rimmel Nail Rescue is forever in my favourites, it really has rescued my nails from many years of wearing acrylics. I use as a base coat each time I do my manicure. This wonderful nail treatment can be found HERE

My MUA Makeup Academy Undress Your Skin Illuminating Liquid Glow is an absolute must for me at this time of year. It can be used all over the face before foundation for that all over glow, but I just use it on areas of my face that need highlighting. You can find this and other highlighters from MUA HERE

Crystal Taupe Eyeshine by Ariane Poole* Cosmetics was a gift to me from Ariane herself last Christmas time and I’ve loved it since. It’s a cream to powder eyeshadow that can be used alone or as a base for other eyeshadows. I’ve used it both ways and I love it on it’s own on my mobile lid then with a matte eyeshadow in the crease. It’s so long lasing too, and my go to eye makeup for when I’m visiting family, because I know it will last me the whole day! Visit Ariane Poole* Cosmetics HERE

The Righteous Butter by Soap & Glory has only recently come into my life too. What a gorgeous combination of deliciousness in this amazing body butter! Shea Butter, Bergamot and Mandarin are just three that I’m a big fan of, although I have never been a big fan of body butters, preferring a body lotion, but when this came into my life so did my preference! Find it HERE

So these are just a few of the products that I’ve loved using over the last month, thank you for reading today.

Soap and Glory…..The Righteous Butter.

Hello again my loves, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

I’m rather late to the party when it comes to Soap and Glory, I’ve always wanted to try it, so I was very happy to see a tub of The Righteous Butter in my new Latest in Beauty box which is in collaboration with Jane Cunningham aka British Beauty Blogger.

The first thing that caught my eye when I first saw any Soap and Glory was of course the lovely cute packaging. The pictures on each product are of 1950s style, and they have such great names too. I’ve never been too keen on a body butter, preferring a body lotion for my body moisturising, I always found body butter sticky on my skin, whereas a lotion sinks in straight away. But the Righteous Butter isn’t sticky and it sinks in beautifully. I’ve a particularly dry patch on my shin where I have a huge scar it does tend to go really “flakey” on the new skin growth. I used my Righteous Butter on my legs paying particular attention to my scar after bathing, and the following morning it was still soft and moisturised without a sign of any flakiness. This beautiful body butter is just fantastic for elbows and knees, and the tops of my feet too.

No wonder this is a perfect body moisturiser, the ingredients within the product are fabulous! Shea Butter, coconut oil, aloe vera all help with maintaining soft skin. The fragrance? That’s just WOW! I was very surprised to notice that what I could smell in the pot smelt nothing like what it is on my skin. In the pot it smells light and fruity, when it’s massaged into my skin it smells heavier, more musky. Maybe it’s just me?

So, I’ve dipped my toes into the world of Soap and Glory and it’s safe to say I could get addicted! I certainly would love to try more from the brand, and I’ve got my eye on a few things. I got my Righteous Butter in my beauty box from Latest in Beauty, but you can pop into your local Boots on the High Street or Boots online HERE for yours.

I’d love some Soap and Glory recommendations, what do you die hard fans think I should try?

Lucky Mum/Nanny!…. Champneys Spa Treatment Gift Set…..

So we went to visit my eldest daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandchildren at the weekend. We had to take their Christmas presents, as we hadn’t seen them over the holiday period. I was so lucky to be given a very beautiful Christmas gift from them all, and I absolutely love it! My daughter knows I love “smellies” and this really is a super indulgent “smellies” gift set.

I should think that most ladies (and probably men too) have heard of Champneys  being a Spa Hotel/resort offering pampering packages and breakaways here in the UK. It does look like an amazing place to relax and unwind!

My beautiful Champneys gift set contains products from the Spa Treatments range and I cannot wait to use it and wallow in the deliciousness that Spa treatments give.

All the beautiful products came individually tissue wrapped in the most gorgeous white with peach trim zip up vanity case. The lining inside is equally beautiful, with peach and black satin Paisley print. I think it’s a Paisley print, please correct me if I am wrong. The actual products are all full size, at least I think they are but I will check this out fully when I review all this gorgeousness!
