Boots No7 Haul

Hello lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

I did a bit of online shopping on the BootsUK website, I did pick it up in-store which I love doing. I wanted one of the skincare bundles and they were available only via the website, and also at the time of order, they had a 3 for 2 on selected No7 products. I thought that I would share with you what I picked up.

I got myself the No7 Radiant Results Revitalising Cleansing Trio, which included the Foaming Cleanser, Daily Face Polish and the Toning Water. All the products together amount to £26.50 when bought separately but as a bundle, it was just £15. I also picked up the Radiant Results Cleansing Balm, at £13. The No7 Lash Impact Lash Serum is £16, so my cleansing balm being the cheapest item was FREE! I do love 3 for 2 offers, don’t you?

I will, of course, be writing reviews of all the products. The eyelash serum I have started using every night and it’s stated I should see a difference in 8 weeks. I’ll keep you posted. I do have a review of the Cleansing Balm that I bought previously HERE. I definitely recommend the Order online and collect from your local store. It’s free when you spend over £10, and I also chose the day to pick it up too. Boots will take your mobile number and will send you a text when your order is ready for collection. It’s a great service.

I haven’t been gifted anything or paid to write this, I was just sharing with you how happy I am with the products I purchased and the great service I received as well. Check out Boots 3 for 2 offers HERE

Thank you for stopping by today.

Getting the Summer Glow with Technic Cosmetics…

Hey there lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty!

I have got an eyeshadow palette that just spells out the Summer holidays. It’s pretty and vibrant and has Flamingoes on the packaging!

This is the Summer Glow eyeshadow palette by a brand I’ve heard of but never actually purchased before, Technic. Mark picked this up for me in our local Jack’s store. Jack’s is a subsidiary of Tesco.

This gorgeous palette is in a bright pink tin with flamingoes standing all across the top. Inside the lid of the tin is a super mirror that you see the whole of your face in, there’s another flamingo standing in the corner of the mirror. The colours though are a pure joy to behold. Beautiful brights, gorgeous nudes/natural shades. Most are matte but there are a few shimmers in there too. The colours I tried out are so buttery soft and very easy to blend out to the intensity you want. I love that each eyeshadow has been given the name of a favourite holiday destination, my two faves are the final two “Bora Bora” and “Maldives” In fact they are all beautiful colours and I’d love to give those more vibrant shades a go, I must have a play around sometime.

This palette was a beautiful bargain in our local supermarket, I think the brand is available in places like Tesco, Bodycare, and online at Fragrance Direct HERE. Their official website too and is HERE.

Have you tried the Technic brand? Let me know what you’d recommend.

Lacura (Aldi) Naturals Eyeshadow Palette

Hey there lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Mark popped into Aldi to do a bit of a top up shop and came home with a really nice eyeshadow palette for me. It’s from the Lacura brand, who are quite renowned to do damn good dupes of the more expensive beauty products out there. This Naturals eyeshadow palette looks very similar to something from Urban Decay methinks. I can’t compare them though, I’ve never used Urban Decay.

With 12 eyeshadows in natural/nude shades and a mix of cool and warm tones, you should be able to create lots of different looks with this one. For me, I thought the shadows are a bit chalky and “bitty” when I dipped my brush in. The lighter shades didn’t give much colour pay off when applied either. I like to apply a wash of a matte cream shade over my eyes before I add colour, don’t ask me why I just do. The darker the colours are the better the payoff seems to be. The shimmer shades come off better than the more matte ones, to be honest. The packaging is pretty nice, the palette itself is plastic and then inserted into a box, and like Urban Decay it has a double-ended brush. The brush actually is a pretty good one, especially the fluffy blending brush which I have been using with all my eyeshadows not just when I use this one. To be honest, wear time isn’t great it fades after a couple of hours, so I wouldn’t choose this one for a long day out. I’ll continue to use just on a daily basis when I fancy putting a face on. It could be ideal for a young person just getting into makeup when there isn’t much of a budget.

Have you tried any of the Aldi Lacura beauty “dupes”? I’d love to know what you think.

Boots No7 Radiant Results Revitalising Eye Make-up Remover..

Hello, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

Is this the best eye makeup remover I’ve ever used? Erm, yes it is actually. This is another of the Boots No7 products I bought when they had their 3 for 2 offer in store a while ago, Radiant Results Revitalising Eye Makeup Remover.

This is a lovely dual action formula eye make-up remover, shake to mix the two formulae together before using. It does contain Glycerin but the ingredients do not state if it’s plant or animal-derived unfortunately. It’s Ophthalmologist tested and there is no fragrance to the product at all, it’s suitable for sensitive skin and being dual action does mean that it cleans and conditions at the same time. I have used this every time I need to remove my eye makeup and it’s super! I pop some onto a cotton pad (a bit of a negative thing for me though is that it isn’t a shaker type of dispenser, it is just open the lid and pour onto cotton pads, so it’s a case of remembering to replace the top when using) I then just hold the moistened pad over my eye for a few seconds then sweep away. It takes my shadows and mascara away in a couple of wipes, it’s awesome stuff! It certainly doesn’t leave a really oily residue behind either, just rather soft eyelashes and no stinging! When I’ve used miscellar water in the past to remove my eye makeup I’ve usually had quite sore runny eyes afterwards but it hasn’t happened with this. The No7 Revitalising Eye Makeup Remover will be a re-purchase for me! You can see this and more gorgeous No7 products HERE.

‘Tis The Season For Weddings… Gorgeous Summer Makeup With B.

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa..

Be a blushing bride this Summer with a beautiful and natural makeup, the trend that Meghan Markle chose to wear for her wedding to Prince Harry just a few weeks ago. I think we all tend to go for much less makeup during the heat of Summer, even if we aren’t a bride or going to a wedding. Summer is the time to let the skin glow, keeping the base really light without too much heavy contouring, or even just no contour at all. That’s just my opinion, I rarely contour to be honest with you.

I do love my skin to look radiant though, and with the help of these pretties from B. Makeup which are available on the High Street at Superdrug, or online at Superdrug, it’s easy to glow! The first such product to help give a pretty luminosity to the skin would be a lightweight silk foundation and I have used the B. Makeup Flawless Silk Foundation I have a review HERE. Next I would add a bit of a highlighter, I like one that will give me pretty glow but without being shiny and glittery. The ideal one for me is the Radiance Powder.

I love this one, it’s actually multi – purpose  with the 5 different shades within that can be used separately to blush and highlight or even use them as eyeshadows! I did however just use my brush through all of the colours and applied it to top of the cheekbones. It really does give me a pretty glow when the light catches. It’s lightweight and you can build it up to get an even brighter glow. The shade I have is Peachy, it’s a more natural finish for me, it also comes in a more bronze shade, Bronzed too. Find the one you prefer HERE.

Next a pretty flush of colour on the cheeks and B. Makeup powder blushers are gorgeous for just that. This shade is “I Like To Mauve It” and it’s quite a delicate shade perfect for Summer. This blusher is so soft and delicate it does literally glide onto the skin without any effort, it blends out beautifully and it can be built up to the intensity you like, and you don’t need a lot of product on your brush either, a little goes a long way. I have already reviewed the blusher if you would like to see that, HERE.  Find a blusher in your shade  HERE.

Lips during the Summer can look dry and cracked due to dehydration, so drink that water and pamper the lips with a lip scrub and use a lip balm or lip oil to keep them soft. If you are attending a wedding, or are the leading lady, you will need your lip colour to last. The B. Makeup Lip Liner is perfect for that, it’s matte and it’s non drying. Use it to outline the lips before applying your lipstick, I tend to slightly over draw my lips to give them a fuller appearance. (One of these days I will say sod it and put my makeup photos on my blog!) Using the lip liner, as an older lady my lipstick doesn’t bleed into any lines. I always smudge my lip liner with a lip brush to give a softer edge, the B. Makeup Lip Liner does blend nicely. This shade is called “Rosy” and there are 6 shades to choose from. Find your shade HERE.

The B. Makeup Velvet Matte Lipstick in the shade “Frow” is a gorgeous “your lips but better shade”. I wasn’t a big fan of matte lipsticks but this is a different matte lipstick from others that I’ve used. This contains Shea Butter and rather than being drying on the lips it’s hydrating instead. It does glide on the lips beautifully and the pigment is amazing. Once it’s on the lips rather than looking totally matte it does seem to have a creamy looking sheen to it, and it doesn’t appear to make my thinning lips look any thinner either. It’s also really comfortable to wear, it doesn’t feel as though it’s “cracking” on my lips, some matte lipsticks just feel that way on me. One thing I do like about matte lipstick is the longevity of wear, and this lasts all day. It leaves a really pretty stain on my lips like I had been eating red berries, and I found it’s best removed with an oil based makeup remover. I think that this really is the perfect lipstick for a Summer makeup/wedding, it would probably last all day, maybe not melt off in the heat of a sunny day! You can find the one for you HERE.

Add a bit of glorious sheen to the corners of the inner eye, add a touch of glimmer to the top lip on the cupids bow to add pout, you can even pop some to the middle of your lips to make them look fuller too. The B. Makeup Pigment and this is the shade Steel is so versatile. I have used it on my eyelids, not above the crease as it’s too shimmery for me, it’s lovely to blend for a pretty wash of shimmery colour, either on it’s own or over the top of another colour. Quite simply a multi tasker in your makeup bag, use it anywhere you want to add shimmer. It has a shaker delivery system to simply shake a touch of product into the lid to use. There are 8 gorgeous shades to choose from, so perfect for that Summer glistening. Find the shade you like HERE.

I hope you all have a fabulous Summer!
