It’s a Makeup Revolution Palette!

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa. I hope you are keeping safe and well.

Two weekends ago I actually got out of the house for a whole 2 hours! And, And, AND I went to another town! BUT in my defence I was going for my COVID-19 vaccination. Thank you scientists thank you NHS thank you Astrazenica. My second dose is at the end of May, and I can’t wait. Better days are coming.

After I had my jab Mark persuaded me to pop into Superdrug which was next door but one to the vaccine centre. I needed to pick up some paracetamol and while I was in there Mark treated me to a couple of products that I was after. One being a Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette, this is the Forever Flawless, Decadent palette.

I love the pretty marble effect packaging of this palette I think it’s plastic, but I believe it can be recycled afterwards.

This beautiful palette is full to the brim with 18 buttery soft eyeshadows, a mix of matte and shimmer shades in colours that will see me through Spring and Summer for sure.

The matte shades blend out beautifully and are buildable to the intensity you want for the look you are creating.

I think this palette is appropriate for any age too, and honestly will more than likely take me through to Autumn and Winter. It’s really a year-round eyeshadow palette in my opinion. Lots of copper and bronze, orange and deep brown, it’s really stunning. I really am so glad that I picked up a Makeup Revolution palette again. I haven’t purchased from the brand in ages, I have a mascara from Revolution as well, and I’ll review that here too in the near future. You can check out the Decadent Forever Flawless from Makeup Revolution at Superdrug HERE

Thank you for stopping by today, take care.

Getting the Summer Glow with Technic Cosmetics…

Hey there lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty!

I have got an eyeshadow palette that just spells out the Summer holidays. It’s pretty and vibrant and has Flamingoes on the packaging!

This is the Summer Glow eyeshadow palette by a brand I’ve heard of but never actually purchased before, Technic. Mark picked this up for me in our local Jack’s store. Jack’s is a subsidiary of Tesco.

This gorgeous palette is in a bright pink tin with flamingoes standing all across the top. Inside the lid of the tin is a super mirror that you see the whole of your face in, there’s another flamingo standing in the corner of the mirror. The colours though are a pure joy to behold. Beautiful brights, gorgeous nudes/natural shades. Most are matte but there are a few shimmers in there too. The colours I tried out are so buttery soft and very easy to blend out to the intensity you want. I love that each eyeshadow has been given the name of a favourite holiday destination, my two faves are the final two “Bora Bora” and “Maldives” In fact they are all beautiful colours and I’d love to give those more vibrant shades a go, I must have a play around sometime.

This palette was a beautiful bargain in our local supermarket, I think the brand is available in places like Tesco, Bodycare, and online at Fragrance Direct HERE. Their official website too and is HERE.

Have you tried the Technic brand? Let me know what you’d recommend.

MUA Makeup Academy Eye and Face Multi Formula Palette in Amour…..

Welcome back to Elegant Ageless Beauty lovelies.

I’ve had this palette from MUA for a few weeks and only just got around to actually using it. For the first time I am a little disappointed in a product from the brand that I love. Please keep reading and I’ll tell you more.

This is the Amour Palette. It holds 10 eyeshadows and 2 creamy metallic shadows. They are ALL multi formula meaning they can be used on all areas of the face, they can all do the same job.

IMG_8414

The colours in this palette remind me a little of the MUA Elysium Palette. It’s got a mixture of matte, shimmer and iridescent textures. The two large cream shades are metallic and very creamy and they can be used as a base for the eyeshadows or use them  on top of a colour to add shine, you can also use them as highlighters to accent the features on the face. I don’t know if I have a dodgy palette but I found the powder eyeshadows chalky, some wouldn’t show in photographs (which is why there are no swatches this time) The darker shades and the larger pink shade are lovely, they blend beautifully and are easy to work with. The two creamy metallic formula, not so. They are soft and blend nicely but it’s barely there when used as highlight on the face, although it does add sheen when placed over eye shadow. This time rather than the usual double ended sponge applicator, the palette has an angled brush which is perfect for eyebrows. Although I am a bit disappointed with my new palette I will of course still use it

There are two palettes in the range with this one being called Amour and the other is called Rhapsody, they are £5.00 each HERE

Thank you for stopping by today lovelies.

Superdrug Booty….

Hello and welcome back to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

So, we popped into a town near us on Friday to pick up some of the new MUA Makeup Academy Autumn/Winter range from Superdrug, I’d already seen on their own website what I wanted to try but unfortunately not everything I was after was in stock so I had to order my other products online. Mark actually bought these for me, here’s what I got.

One of my favourite ranges from Superdrug own brand is the Natural Radiance collection of skincare, I’ve used their Day Cream, Night Cream and Eye Cream and always wanted to try their own Hot Cloth Cleanser so I picked one up. At the moment selected products from the  Natural Radiance range is HALF PRICE, my cleanser was reduced to just £2.95 HERE

I also picked up a Charlie Bodyspray in the fragrance Edge. It’s fruity, it’s floral, it’s slightly musk too and it’s just £1.00 on selected Charlie Bodysprays HERE

I love Superdrug oval cotton wool pads, they’re huge! There’s 50 in a pack for £1.89, although there is also an offer to buy 2 packs for £2.50 HERE

Then on to MUA Makeup Academy. One of their new releases a few weeks ago was the multi formula palettes, and I picked up Amour. It holds 10 powder eyeshadows and 2 cream metallic shades and it’s just £5.00 HERE or on the MUA website HERE

Also from MUA Makeup Academy, and from their new Autumn/Winter collection I got myself Skin Define Hydro Foundation in the shade Beige. It’s just £4.00 at Superdrug HERE and MUA website HERE.

Lastly from MUA is the Skin Define Hydro Primer, I’m really looking forward to trying these new face products! The primer is just £5.00 at Superdrug HERE and from MUA website HERE too.

So that’s my little beauty booty from Superdrug! I’ll be back with reviews after I’ve used them all a few times, especially the cleanser so I hope you will look out for that. Thank you for reading today.

On Trial: Beyond Flawless Palette by Makeup Revolution….

Hello again lovely people!

So while I’m trying out my individual false lashes I thought I’d complete the look and put to test my new Beyond Flawless 32 eyeshadow palette by Makeup Revolution. Yes it’s another nude/natural palette, and it’s just as gorgeous as all the others!

This one though to me looks like it’s a mix of the Makeup Revolution Iconic 1, 2, and 3 palettes all in one gorgeous package! It’s got that perfect mix of matte and shimmer shades that I love.
