It’s a Makeup Revolution Palette!

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa. I hope you are keeping safe and well.

Two weekends ago I actually got out of the house for a whole 2 hours! And, And, AND I went to another town! BUT in my defence I was going for my COVID-19 vaccination. Thank you scientists thank you NHS thank you Astrazenica. My second dose is at the end of May, and I can’t wait. Better days are coming.

After I had my jab Mark persuaded me to pop into Superdrug which was next door but one to the vaccine centre. I needed to pick up some paracetamol and while I was in there Mark treated me to a couple of products that I was after. One being a Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette, this is the Forever Flawless, Decadent palette.

I love the pretty marble effect packaging of this palette I think it’s plastic, but I believe it can be recycled afterwards.

This beautiful palette is full to the brim with 18 buttery soft eyeshadows, a mix of matte and shimmer shades in colours that will see me through Spring and Summer for sure.

The matte shades blend out beautifully and are buildable to the intensity you want for the look you are creating.

I think this palette is appropriate for any age too, and honestly will more than likely take me through to Autumn and Winter. It’s really a year-round eyeshadow palette in my opinion. Lots of copper and bronze, orange and deep brown, it’s really stunning. I really am so glad that I picked up a Makeup Revolution palette again. I haven’t purchased from the brand in ages, I have a mascara from Revolution as well, and I’ll review that here too in the near future. You can check out the Decadent Forever Flawless from Makeup Revolution at Superdrug HERE

Thank you for stopping by today, take care.

The Flawless Palette from Makeup Revolution…..

Welcome back lovelies!

So here it is, my thoughts on the Flawless Palette from Makeup Revolution. I love it! Truth be told I knew I would. Everything about it is just gorgeous. I have waited ages to get it and when I walked into our local Superdrug and saw that at last they were stocking Makeup Revolution products I was a happy bunny. I didn’t pick the palette up myself, I needed other things but when I got to the checkout little did I know Mark had sneaked it into the basket, he’d bought it for me!

The palette is encased in this gorgeous rose gold box with FLAWLESS embossed rather than printed on it, the rest of the branding is printed in black, simply stunning!

IMG_0535

The palette itself is beautiful shiny piano black with the branding in rose gold, and being so shiny makes it easy to clean to keep it looking, ahem Flawless!

When I opened the palette I noticed how huge the mirror  is, I can see my whole face not just parts of it. The names of each shade is written on an acetate sheet covering the eyeshadows (sorry I forgot to get a photo of it) There are 32 beautiful shades, from nude/naturals through to deep reds, browns, dark blues and blacks. As far as I can make out there are 8 matte shades, with others being very shimmery/frosted shades and even a couple that are glittery. The quality of ALL the eyeshadows are exceptional, so highly pigmented, creamy texture and so easily blendable and buildable to the intensity you want.

Okay, so there are 32 eyeshadows and I just couldn’t swatch them all, light was fading so I have just picked out MY 6 of the best! From left to right: Red Night, Burgandy Nights, Green Stars, Blue Stars, Black Tie and Gold Digger. All are such beautiful colours and so easy to use. It doesn’t matter if you don’t use an eye primer while wearing them my non primed eye lasted just as long as the eye with primer. The matte eyeshadows weren’t chalky, and blended well into the crease of my eye and I had no fallout of any of the shadows I used. The beautiful Flawless palette is just £8.00 HERE from the Tam Beauty website OR Superdrug online HERE.

Thank you for reading today lovelies

“HARD DAY” PALETTE from MAKEUP REVOLUTION…..

Hello again lovelies!

I think Mark must have taken a sneaky peak at my Makeup Revolution wish list when shopping for my Christmas presents because I have had my eye on this palette for ages, it’s the limited edition “Hard Day” palette, from the Salvation range of palettes. When I opened it on Christmas morning I was delighted!

IMG_8817

The packaging as always is the gorgeous piano black sturdy plastic with a HUGE mirror that I can see the whole of my face in. It has of course the pretty rose gold branding on the top. The palette itself is encased in a copper coloured box. Does anyone keep their boxes? I don’t, I must admit they end up in my recycling bin.

IMG_8844

The “Hard Day” palette is full of gorgeous neutral shades 12 shimmer and 6 matte for your various eye looks, from daytime natural for work and then add the dark shades for the smokey eye look for evenings. The pigmentation as is usual with Makeup Revolution is brilliant, and not too much fallout either. All the eyeshadows feel so creamy and very blendable, some matte eyeshadows can be a bit chalky even with more pricier brands but  so far I have not had that problem with this brand. You do of course get the double ended sponge applicator, which I don’t use only for swatching on my arm, I always prefer my brushes.

IMG_8835

There’s an acetate film over the top of the eyeshadows in the palette which gives you the name of each shade of eyeshadow, I always keep mine in my palette just to remind me because they aren’t shown anywhere else, ie underneath.

IMG_8879

Sorry about the higgledy piggledy swatches! When I do swatches of any sort I always prep my arm first with foundation and powder which is what I’ve done here. I swatched these using the applicator in the palette cleaning after each shade, obvs. Some shades did need a couple of swipes of the applicator, mainly the lighter shades in both the shimmer and matte eyeshadows. The darker shades however are beautiful! This really is a gorgeous palette and worth far more than the £6.00 it is on the Tam Beauty website HERE.

Thank you for reading today lovelies.

DUSK TILL DAWN PALETTE from MUA….

Hello and welcome back lovelies!

Okay, so I didn’t actually purchase this palette from MUA Makeup Academy, it was a very nice freebie from them because I made a purchase over a certain amount, thank you MUA.

IMG_7601

Just look at the colours in this palette! I can see why it’s  named Dusk Till Dawn, it’s perfect for looks that will take you from day to night.

IMG_7586 (2)

There’s 12 gorgeous shimmery shades that are so soft and easy to blend and with no fallout at all, this one doesn’t have any matte eye shadows in it, so if you are like me and can’t wear ALL shimmer on the eyes I’ve found that the Winter Forest Palette is the perfect partner. The eye shadows in the Dusk Till Dawn have super names, so starting on the top row: Portia, Carpo, Columbo, Thyrm Kari, Erinone and on the bottom row: Callisto, Cassini, Lysithea, Elara, Puck, Titan. They were a little bit tricky to read so I hope I’ve got them right.

IMG_7759

As is usual with my swatches I prepped my arm with a little foundation and powder and used just one swipe in each eye shadow to apply to my skin. Just look at the gorgeous shimmer, the dark shade on the right has a tiny bit of glitter too. It really is a beautiful palette, and perfect for Christmas. As I said I got my palette free with an order but it’s a bargain to purchase at only £4.00 from HERE

Thank you for stopping by and reading, see you next time lovelies!
