Super Facialist Rosehip Hydrate Facial Oil.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a lovely selection of beauty products in a giveaway on beauty blogger Back To You Beauty‘s Instagram page. There were a couple of products from the brand Super Facialist, which I was super happy about as it’s a brand I’ve wanted to try for a while. It’s been a few weeks so I thought that I would write a little review on each of them, the first one being the Rosehip Hydrate Facial Oil.

wp-1701266868470Who are Super Facialist?

“Launched in 2012, Super Facialist is a British-born skincare brand, expertly developed by a team of passionate skincare experts with many years of experience in the beauty industry. Our mission is to empower and equip customers to become their own super Facialist, boosting confidence to understand and listen to their skin.
Our tried, tested and loved formulations combine high-performance scientific ingredients, natural extracts and exquisite aromas to deliver premium formulations without the premium price tag and give customers that facialist feeling. Every Day.”

There are some absolutely gorgeous ingredients in this facial oil, check these out!

Rosehip Oil – Helps heal and rejuvenate skin

Passionflower Oil – Rich in omega 6 so rich in moisturising properties

Calendula Oil – Soothing, moisturising oil that helps defend the skin against free radicals

Raspberry Oil – Contains vitamin E and has anti-inflammatory properties

Sweet Almond Oil – Rich in oleic and linoleic essential fatty acids and vitamin B6 to condition and nourish

This wonderful facial oil is so super nourishing for my dry dehydrated mature skin. With all these ingredients including Brown Algae Extract, it really has been a delicious addition to my nightime skincare routine, helping to moisturise and hydrate my skin therefore giving me more glow the following morning. Just a couple of pumps on cleansed skin and massaged into my face taking in the lovely fragrance of raspberry rosehip and passionflower. It doesn’t leave my face sticky and oily, it sinks in like a dream so saves my pillow from becoming oily.

I also enjoy using the Rosehip facial oil when I derma-plane my face, usually every couple of months or so when I notice the old chin hairs reappear. I use a single-blade eyebrow razor to shave my face along with the facial oil moving the blade downward, and wiping it as I go. Face shaving is fab for removing not only excess hair but also dead skin cells too. It can be done without any product but I do prefer to use something to help the blade “slip” over the skin, and the oil is perfect for this job.

Anyway, that’s the first of two Super Facialist products I have that I’m reviewing here on Elegant Ageless Beauty, next time it will be the HEXAPEPTIDE 9 anti-ageing advanced Extra Firming Serumso I hope you will come back for that.

If you would like to see other products from Super Facialist you will find them HERE.

Optimum PhytoFreeze Instant Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty my lovelies..

I’ve the second Optimum PhytoFreeze product to share with you today, it’s the eye cream and I have to say it’s my favourite of the two that I was sent to review.

optimumphytofreezeeyecream

An eye cream that offers an “instant anti-wrinkle effect, helping to tighten the skin and give an instant lifting effect” It contains a unique active ingredient called Vin-upLift, and based on Swiss Ice Wine which has been produced from naturally frozen grapes, it’s very rich in certain sugars and polysaccharides which is meant to give instant lift and moisture to the skin. The grapes are harvested from Swiss vineyards and are picked by hand after the first fall of snow in Winter when the grapes have been frozen on the vine. Other ingredients added into the eye cream are Olive Oil which helps protect the skin from premature aging and also nourishes the skin around the eye area. Vitamin E is in there too, to help protect the skin from environmental damage.

I’m a huge eye cream fan, always on the lookout for something to keep the eye area smooth and wrinkle free. To be honest at nearly 57 years old I really don’t have to worry about many wrinkles. I don’t know if that’s down to good genes or great skincare, maybe a bit of both. I love the delivery system on the Optimum PhytoFreeze Anti Wrinkle eye cream, it’s a very cooling metal applicator which you may use to apply the cream and smooth over the eye area. I applied eye cream after cleansing and moisturising which is the way I like to use all my eye products. I applied to my under eye area using the metal applicator at first just to get the soothing cooling effect it gives me, I then patted the excess cream using my ring finger  outwards towards my temple. I also applied in an upwards direction to my brow bone, hoping to get “a lift” from the slight droop I have which causes “hooded eyelids” The eye cream applies beautifully when patted into the skin, not so much when being smoothed over as it tends to roll off in tiny clumps. After a while I noticed that my “hoods” did appear slightly lifted though, I could see more of my eyelids when looking straight into the mirror. Applying foundation and concealer over the top of the eye cream is best left until it has sunk into the skin for 10 minutes or so, as again it rolls off, and I also think it’s best to blend foundation and concealer using a brush.

I have enjoyed using this eye cream for its richness and hydration it gives my under eyes, and how bright, refreshed and smooth they look too. Right now at Superdrug there is a 2 for £12 on selected Optimum PhytoFreeze also Better than 1/2 price on selected Optimum and Free Versace Fragrance when you buy 2 selected skin products. You can find these fantastic offers HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today my lovelies, see you again soon..

{AD-Gifted} HollyBerry Cosmetics Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C Serum…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa!

I do love me some Vitamin C. I love it to drink, lemon squeezed into a mug of hot water with a sliver of fresh ginger first thing in the morning is so refreshing and gives me just the perk up I need. I love lime juice squeezed over my salad and I definitely love Vitamin C in my skincare too! So when HollyBerry Cosmetics asked me if I would like to try their Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin C Serum I immediately said yes please! I was actually on the look out for a new serum to include in my skincare so it came at just the right time.

HollyBerryVitaminC

A lovely natural and organic serum to fight the signs of premature aging. It comes in a bottle with a pipette dispenser, no parabens, no perfume or sulphates or alcohol and it’s not tested on animals. I used a couple of drops on my fingers at first and pressed it into my skin, including my under eye area, I noticed that it sank in right away, to take it down my neck I added a couple more drops. The combination of Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C did give my skin a fresher brighter and smoother appearance. The “number 11’s” between my eyebrows were plumped out and less noticeable. My under eye area was also a lot more smooth too, although I did feel I need more hydration, after a few moments my cheeks were feeling a little dry. I applied my usual day cream which helped give me back the moisture I needed.

This is a really lovely serum to use under your usual moisturiser/day cream, and if you use eye creams, use it under the eyes before applying that too. If you would like to check out HollyBerry Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin C Serum yourself  go HERE.

Until next time.

M4M ANTI AGEING MOISTURE 4 MEN by Heaven Skincare

Welcome back to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Mark has always been shower/bath – hair wash – shave a couple of days a week – deodorant, then a bit of aftershave if we go out kind of guy, he’s never really been into skin care at all. Then along came Deborah Mitchell and Heaven Skincare, and all that changed. Deborah very generously sent him a selection of her men’s grooming products to try. Here is one of his favourites, M4M Anti Ageing Moisturiser.

HeavenMoisturiser

The packaging for all Heaven men’s grooming products is very nice, it’s sleek and masculine in black I think it’s very stylish looking. This moisturiser has a great pump-action delivery system, just press down the top and the correct amount of product is dispensed.

There are some gorgeous ingredients within M4M moisturiser, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Cedar Wood, Coconut oil and Organic Clary Sage. Clary Sage is in there to balance the production of natural oils in the skin, it also helps to reduce inflammation and rashes therefore making it ideal for use after shaving, particularly for those men who are prone to razor rash. The Cedar Wood will tone the skin. Vitamin A is for helping with those lines and wrinkles, Vitamin E is to help the skin repair itself and protect it from free radicals.

Mark is a big fan of moisturising his face now, he loves the way his skin feels after he’s shaved and applied this lovely moisturiser. It also smells gorgeous too! It’s a lovely fresh fragrance, he told me that the one pump’s worth is all he needs to moisturise his face and neck, he said it sinks in lovely, and it doesn’t make his face feel sticky or greasy. I have to say that the first time Mark used the moisturiser his skin did look and feel very soft. I’m so glad there’s more than one mirror in our house now Mark has taken an interest in skincare!
