[AD-Gifted] Super Stylo Satin Finish Lipstick by MUA Makeup Academy…..

I had a little squeal of delight when 6 gorgeous looking lipsticks by my favourite makeup brand MUA Makeup Academy arrived for a little play.

I have 6 shades from the 8 that are available. They are lovely chunky twist-up lipsticks, with the absolutely gloriously MUA usual fragrance of vanilla! All of them are so wonderfully pigmented and glide on perfectly leaving a very pretty sheen to the lips. They last a good couple of hours on me, I am a constant lip licker and I drink a lot of water and a few coffees throughout the day. But re-applying doesn’t bother me as the lipsticks aren’t drying at all, they feel so moisturising. The darker shades do leave a slight stain on the lips as they wear down, and even though I have 59-year-old lips, these did not “bleed” into my lines, AND I wasn’t wearing any lip liner either.

Let’s look at the pretty colours! I just want to clarify that the numbers on the lipstick are not the numbers that MUA have put on them. Mark popped them on for me so that I’m able to give you the shade names more accurately.

 1. FIRST CLASS.  beautiful blue-toned red.

2. ELITE Pink with brown tones.

3, SUPER NUDE a cool-toned nude

4, WORLD CLASS a warm pink nude

5, HEROIC a warm nude

6, MAJOR a warm orange-brown

THE MATTE EFFECT FOUNDATION from MAKEUP REVOLUTION…..

Hello and welcome again lovely people.

Yet another Makeup Revolution product to show you, this was also in my goody bag given to me at the launch day. It’s the Matte Effect Foundation in the shade Ivory, there are 8 shades to choose from.

The packaging is a cream coloured squeezy tube with a black lid that is flattened so you could stand it on your dressing table, the branding is once again rose gold coloured. This is a 25ml tube of product that has a 12 month shelf life when open. Unfortunately this isn’t my colour so it’s impossible to give a proper review as I would like. I need a medium shade and this is just too light for me.

I applied it to my skin though to see the consistency, and I found it to be quite thin so I would say that this could be a light coverage foundation. I applied it over my usual moisturiser and primer and oh dear I am sorry to say it didn’t dry matte on my skin! I am hoping that this is because it’s too light for me. But I would think that all shades would be the same consistency, right? It blended really easily over my skin when using my fingers, I then finished off with a stippling brush. Once applied The Matte Effect Foundation should last for 16 hours. I’ve never really grasped the idea of why anyone would wear a foundation for any more than 8 hours in a day, 10 at the most but I did wear it all day and it stayed put until I took it off at night. It’s such a shame I didn’t have my correct shade to test out properly. If you want to try a matte foundation for yourself without breaking the bank, this one is only £2.00 HERE.

A WEEK IN NAIL POLISH…..Bloguary Day 19!

Hello lovely people, its bloguary day 19 already, and I bring you another pretty Springtime nail polish.

MUA NAIL POLISH in BOLD BLUE

This one is a gorgeous turquoise blue from MUA called BOLD BLUE. It really is a very bright up-lifting shade of blue, and another one that is quite anti-ageing on my hands. I did have trouble with the application of this one, I needed at least four coats to get the coverage I wanted. Each coat seemed to leave brush strokes, but when I did get the coverage I wanted it’s very pretty and smooth. I must say even though I had to put on the four coats it does dry quite quickly, and it has a really nice sheen to it. I would love these nail polishes even more if MUA made the brush fatter, I don’t think I would have brush stroke issues then.

I really can’t grumble about these cute MUA nail polishes though, they are only £1.00 after all. You can get this bright and cheerful nail polish from HERE.
