[AD-Gifted] Super Stylo Satin Finish Lipstick by MUA Makeup Academy…..

Hey there lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty!

I had a little squeal of delight when 6 gorgeous looking lipsticks by my favourite makeup brand MUA Makeup Academy arrived for a little play.

I have 6 shades from the 8 that are available. They are lovely chunky twist-up lipsticks, with the absolutely gloriously MUA usual fragrance of vanilla! All of them are so wonderfully pigmented and glide on perfectly leaving a very pretty sheen to the lips. They last a good couple of hours on me, I am a constant lip licker and I drink a lot of water and a few coffees throughout the day. But re-applying doesn’t bother me as the lipsticks aren’t drying at all, they feel so moisturising. The darker shades do leave a slight stain on the lips as they wear down, and even though I have 59-year-old lips, these did not “bleed” into my lines, AND I wasn’t wearing any lip liner either.

Let’s look at the pretty colours! I just want to clarify that the numbers on the lipstick are not the numbers that MUA have put on them. Mark popped them on for me so that I’m able to give you the shade names more accurately.

 1. FIRST CLASS.  beautiful blue-toned red.

2. ELITE Pink with brown tones.

3, SUPER NUDE a cool-toned nude

4, WORLD CLASS a warm pink nude

5, HEROIC a warm nude

6, MAJOR a warm orange-brown

You can pick up these gorgeous lipsticks from Superdrug on your High Street or online at MUA  HERE.

Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipstick

Hello, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

This March Makeup Revolution celebrated their 2nd Birthday with a huge party in London which unfortunately I couldn’t go too. I may have missed out on the cocktails, new product launches and a speech by Adam Minto owner of Makeup Revolution, but I was compensated with a fabulous goody bag  which was sent to me with products from the brand and also Freedom Makeup and Superdrug. One of my favourite products in my goody bag is the Rose Gold Lipstick in the shade Girls Best Friend.

MURRoseGoldLipstick

How gorgeous is this packaging! It’s rose gold coloured metal effect bullet shaped, similar to the Mac lipsticks, but I think rather prettier. There’s no branding on the outside of the packaging, you don’t see that until you twist up the lipstick. The bottom of the bullet shows the lipstick shade and name. The shade I have is Girls Best Friend, a pretty bright pink. It’s a blue toned pink which I thought would look horrendous on me, but I adore the colour and it looks pretty good too.

The rose gold lipstick formula is so lovely, very creamy and glides onto the lips like I was applying my favourite lip balm. It’s very comfortable to wear, doesn’t feel heavy. I hate lipstick that I can feel on my lips, I prefer a lightweight lipstick and this fits the bill for me. It’s not a high gloss lipstick and it’s certainly not a matte finish either, it gives off a really pretty sheen which make the lips look and feel hydrated. The staying power is pretty good, it lasted on my lips without reapplying for a couple of hours, during which time I’d eaten toast had a large glass of water and a couple of coffees, to be fair only the sheen of the lipstick disappeared,  it is so pigmented it left my lips with a stain to them. You could always add a clear lip balm or a lip gloss to bring the sheen back if so wished.

There are 5 shades in the Rose Gold Lipstick collection at Makeup Revolution, and I only want 1 more, the nude shade called Chauffeur. The other shades are rather too “vampy” for me and I know they won’t suit me. But if I did purchase them all and some didn’t suit me it wouldn’t be a great problem they are only £3.00! Check out Tam Beauty website to see these beauties, HERE

Lots of love, Teresa

Road Testing Again: Flawless Palette by Makeup Revolution….

Hello again my lovelies!

While shopping in Superdrug last Saturday I was so happy to see that at long last my local store had finally stocked Makeup Revolution. So I just had to buy the gorgeous “Flawless” palette which I have wanted to have since it was first released.

FLAWLESS

The “Flawless” palette has 32 gorgeous shades to create a variety of looks. I shall be using it today and coming back later to tell you my final thoughts. Some of the shades in the palette are already duplicated in other Makeup Revolution palettes I have in my collection looking at it closely, but there are also shades that I’ve not seen before so I’m looking forward to testing them out. I shall be trying the eyeshadows with an eye primer and without too, just to see how long they last and if they last without an eye primer.

So please join me again soon when I shall tell you exactly my thoughts of the Flawless palette.

ULTRA ALL DAY PRIME & ANTI – SHINE BALM from MAKEUP REVOLUTION.

Welcome back lovelies!

As regular readers of Elegant Ageless Beauty will know I’ve been testing out the Ultra All Day Prime & Anti – Shine Balm from Makeup Revolution, it was just one of many Christmas presents from the brand that Mark gave me. After using over the weekend, these are my final thoughts.

IMG_8903

So, what exactly is the Ultra All Day Prime & Anti-Shine Balm? This is a cosmetic product (obvs) that can be used under foundation as a primer to help add longevity to your makeup, and you can  use it over the top of foundation instead of a regular pressed or loose face powder. You can also “top up” during the day to get rid of any shine.

A gorgeous handy little compact with 5g of product, mirror and sponge applicator. There was an acetate disc covering the balm when I opened it for the first time which was a bit difficult to remove, I think it needs a tab to grab on too to make things easier with that. Being a primer you would of course expect this to feel like a primer, but it doesn’t it feels like a balm. The sponge applicator is a bit thin and flimsy but I used it and does the job with application. I had a look at the ingredients and of course there is silicon in the product, but there is also sesame seed oil and wheatgerm oil in there too.

Okay, so I applied the balm to my clean moisturised skin with the sponge applicator with a patting motion rather than swiping, used as a primer it’s meant to even out your skin making pores appear less noticeable and also fine lines too. I paid particular attention to my cheeks where I do suffer from large pores and after a couple of moments the pores did appear smaller. I suffer from a tiny bit of redness on my chin and this also appeared to be diminished too. So far I was really liking the product! The look of my skin did improve and then I noticed that the balm didn’t feel like a regular primer on my skin it wasn’t as silicon-y as  others I’ve used, it feels more like a moisturiser would feel. I then applied my foundation and used the balm to set it with, patting it over my face with the sponge applicator. I didn’t wear any other makeup during the day just the balm and foundation. I checked my makeup after an hour or so and I did see that I had become a bit shiny on my nose and chin, so I patted on some more of the balm and it took the shine away. If I’m out for the day I do have to touch up my face every now and then, I kept adding more powder each time to counteract the shine, and sometimes makeup ends up looking “cakey” Now I shall be taking this product out with me instead of powder for those touch up’s. I like the Ultra All Day Prime & Anti-Shine balm from Makeup Revolution, it will certainly become a staple in my makeup bag! I know that this was a Christmas gift so I shouldn’t really talk about money, but in the interest of this review I shall tell you that it’s £5.00 from HERE. (THIS PRODUCT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

Sorry if this was a long read for you, I did have a bit to say. Thank you for stopping by today.

AWESOME METALS FOIL FINISH EYESHADOW from MAKEUP REVOLUTION….

Welcome back lovely people, I hope you had a great weekend.

I have another rather pretty eyeshadow from Makeup Revolution, I’ve been wanting to review this one for ages because it’s so gorgeous.

IMG_0108

The shade I have is “Magnificent Copper” and that is exactly what it looks like, gorgeous shiny copper. It really is beautiful.

IMG_0165

There are 3 components to this eyeshadow, the pot of colour, a little bottle of liquid eye primer and a cute little mixing dish. Wow the pigments in this foil eyeshadow is very intense! But you can start out really quite lightly and build up the colour as you want. The little bottle of liquid eye primer will help the colour shine dramatically with long-lasting colour there is a lot of glitter in these eyeshadows but very tiny pieces so I think these will be suitable only for ladies who are completely wrinkle/line free, unfortunately I shan’t be using this product myself. 😦

IMG_0143

To use the foil eyeshadow, just put a drop of the liquid primer into the mixing dish, then put a small amount of the colour into the dish also. Mix the two together then apply to your eyes and build to the intensity you like, which is so easy to do with the Awesome Foils, it’s so blendable!  There are 5 colours to choose from: “Magnificent Copper” “Black Diamond” “Pure Platinum” “Emerald Goddess” and “Rose Gold” I have seen them all “in the flesh” and they are all incredible.

If you want to check these out and other revolutionary products click HERE

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a great week!
