Pureplex Bond Reconstructing Shampoo and Conditioner…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I bet I have the best conditioned hair in my town! Well maybe. Although I could have, because it is cleansed and conditioned with the help of Knight And Wilson, the hair care people that has become my new favourite. I recently coloured my hair Rose Gold with the Knight and Wilson Colour Freedom Metallic Glory Rose Gold hair dye. You can read my review HERE. I had a conditioning treatment after that using the Pureplex Hair Repair System and you can see my review HERE. Now to keep my hair in this tip-top condition I’m using the Pureplex Bond Reconstructing Shampoo and the Conditioner.

Let me tell you about the shampoo. This shampoo has been especially designed to be used daily (if you are a daily washer of hair) specifically for coloured, bleached, highlighted, any chemical treatment in fact AND for hair that is ageing, hair that is easily broken. It’s formulated with the Aminofix Bond Reconstructor and although its sulphate free it gently cleanses the hair and also helps to repair any damage caused by heated appliances and chemicals. The shampoo helps to build the hair’s structure and also it protects it from any harm you will do to the hair in the future. I for one will not stop colouring my hair! As for ingredients it has Shea Butter, Argan Oil and Panthenol (which is a form of vitamin B5) The Pureplex shampoo also contains UV filters.

The first thing I noticed when I squeezed this rich creamy shampoo into my hand is the fragrance, its gorgeous and fresh and “apple-y” I used a good-sized amount of product for my first shampoo because my hair is so thick. Thankfully it’s not too lathery,  I don’t have a shower so I have to wash my hair over the bath every time with a jug. The first shampoo rinsed out really easily and I could feel the squeak from my hair. I did a second shampoo using less of the product and paid more attention to massaging my scalp, this time there was a bit more lather although it rinsed away very clearly. I then combed my hair through with a wide toothed comb ready for the Pureplex Conditioner and it was already easy to comb when wet.

The conditioner too is so creamy and rich in consistency and like the shampoo has the fresh and apple scent. I used about a dessert spoonful of product in my hand and worked it through my hair, not reaching my scalp though. I let the conditioner work into my hair for a couple of minutes then rinsed out thoroughly. It was easy to rinse out when using my old jug method, I didn’t feel as though there was any residue left on my hair. I then wrapped my hair in a towel and left it to soak up the excess water rather than rub my hair as I usually do. Running a brush through my hair when its wet is so easy after using this glorious conditioner, didn’t struggle with any knots at all. I more often than not leave my hair to dry naturally but if I do use my  hairdryer it dries fantastically with no flyaway bits of hair. I always dry my hair using the nozzle downwards so as not to “ruffle” up the shaft of the hair, this will help with keeping the hair smoother looking.

After being introduced to all the ranges of hair products by Knight and Wilson I shall be purchasing more from the brand I really am enjoying everything that I’ve tried so far. If you would like to try them for yourself you can find them in your local Superdrug store or online HERE.

“Revolutionary Hair Repair System” Pureplex

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa..

I’ve more hair care products to share with you, this time a treatment. This is Pureplex and it’s by Knight and Wilson a brand that’s available in Superdrug, and a brand that I have come to really enjoy using.

This hair treatment, Pureplex is a 4 step system that aims to repair damage from over bleaching, colouring, all sorts of chemicals, styling and heat. It contains AMINOFIX a bond reconstrutctor to replace the amino acids that helps in the rebuilding of the hairs natural Keratin structure. *phew!*

In the box the 4 step system consists of…

Part 1, sachet of clarifying shampoo

Part 2, bottle of bond protecting treatment

Part 3, tube of bond reconstructing treatment

Part 4, sachet of conditioner.

So  if you come here regularly you will know that I have recently coloured my hair with a Rose Gold hair dye, you can read my review HERE. So what better time to have an at home hair treatment, and this is how I did it.

Firstly I don’t have a shower, I am a stick your head over the bath and use a jug person, so I have to make sure that my thick hair gets a good soaking when washing and treating it. Anyhoo I washed my hair with the sachet of clarifying shampoo which will remove product build-up and cleanse the hair. Rinse well and just towel dry.

On to step 2 then. The Pureplex Bond Protecting Treatment, now this is a liquid and you apply it onto towel dried hair. I did have to make sure the whole of my hair was covered, it was tricky at first because it kept dripping down my face which I do hate to be honest. But I decided to just bend over the bath and apply it which was an easier option for me. I left this on for 5 minutes, do not rinse this part of the treatment out of the hair. After the 5 minutes towel off excess liquid. (You do use the whole contents of the bottle)

Step 3. The Bond Reconstructing Treatment is my favourite product in the box. This is a thick hair mask, with AMINOFIX to help to rebuild the natural structure of the hair and also pumps up the volume. It smells gorgeous, like apples I believe. I just applied the thick creamy treatment onto my hair making sure it’s distributed evenly, I used a wide toothed comb to make sure and left the treatment on for 15 minutes. I’d usually cover my hair with cling wrap if I was using my usual coconut oil hair mask, but on this occasion I didn’t, the instructions don’t say to, although they don’t say you can’t either. After the 15 minutes I rinsed my hair really well and towel dried again.

Step 4. The final part of the treatment is the sachet of Pureplex Conditioner and again this has AMINOFIX to nourish and hydrate the hair. I applied the conditioner to my hair massaging from roots to ends and then used my wide toothed comb again to distribute evenly. I left it on for 1 minute then rinsed well again. Afterwards I wrapped my hair in a towel and relaxed for a while with a coffee.

I decided to dry my hair with my hairdryer rather than leave it to dry naturally, I just have a dryer from Superdrug and a round brush and used them to style my hair. I do have styling products from Knight and Wilson HERE for a review if you would like to see that. But I decided to leave them off on this occasion just to get the feel of my hair after treatment. Oh my goodness my hair felt amazing once it was dry! It looked sleek and smooth and hydrated, not a flyaway in sight. The ends of my hair looked like I’d just had it trimmed absolutely no frizziness or dry ends! The Pureplex Hair Repair System is going to be my regular hair treatment from now, it’s transformed my hair.

Who should use the Pureplex Hair Repair System?
