Pureplex Bond Reconstructing Shampoo and Conditioner…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I bet I have the best conditioned hair in my town! Well maybe. Although I could have, because it is cleansed and conditioned with the help of Knight And Wilson, the hair care people that has become my new favourite. I recently coloured my hair Rose Gold with the Knight and Wilson Colour Freedom Metallic Glory Rose Gold hair dye. You can read my review HERE. I had a conditioning treatment after that using the Pureplex Hair Repair System and you can see my review HERE. Now to keep my hair in this tip-top condition I’m using the Pureplex Bond Reconstructing Shampoo and the Conditioner.

Let me tell you about the shampoo. This shampoo has been especially designed to be used daily (if you are a daily washer of hair) specifically for coloured, bleached, highlighted, any chemical treatment in fact AND for hair that is ageing, hair that is easily broken. It’s formulated with the Aminofix Bond Reconstructor and although its sulphate free it gently cleanses the hair and also helps to repair any damage caused by heated appliances and chemicals. The shampoo helps to build the hair’s structure and also it protects it from any harm you will do to the hair in the future. I for one will not stop colouring my hair! As for ingredients it has Shea Butter, Argan Oil and Panthenol (which is a form of vitamin B5) The Pureplex shampoo also contains UV filters.

The first thing I noticed when I squeezed this rich creamy shampoo into my hand is the fragrance, its gorgeous and fresh and “apple-y” I used a good-sized amount of product for my first shampoo because my hair is so thick. Thankfully it’s not too lathery,  I don’t have a shower so I have to wash my hair over the bath every time with a jug. The first shampoo rinsed out really easily and I could feel the squeak from my hair. I did a second shampoo using less of the product and paid more attention to massaging my scalp, this time there was a bit more lather although it rinsed away very clearly. I then combed my hair through with a wide toothed comb ready for the Pureplex Conditioner and it was already easy to comb when wet.

The conditioner too is so creamy and rich in consistency and like the shampoo has the fresh and apple scent. I used about a dessert spoonful of product in my hand and worked it through my hair, not reaching my scalp though. I let the conditioner work into my hair for a couple of minutes then rinsed out thoroughly. It was easy to rinse out when using my old jug method, I didn’t feel as though there was any residue left on my hair. I then wrapped my hair in a towel and left it to soak up the excess water rather than rub my hair as I usually do. Running a brush through my hair when its wet is so easy after using this glorious conditioner, didn’t struggle with any knots at all. I more often than not leave my hair to dry naturally but if I do use my  hairdryer it dries fantastically with no flyaway bits of hair. I always dry my hair using the nozzle downwards so as not to “ruffle” up the shaft of the hair, this will help with keeping the hair smoother looking.

After being introduced to all the ranges of hair products by Knight and Wilson I shall be purchasing more from the brand I really am enjoying everything that I’ve tried so far. If you would like to try them for yourself you can find them in your local Superdrug store or online HERE.

Heaven by Deborah Mitchell… Shave, Shower, Shampoo for Men..

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I thought that today I would share with you another Heaven by Deborah Mitchell Skincare product, it’s a men’s product that Deborah very kindly sent to Mark. This is the Shave, Shower, Shampoo for Men

HeavenShaveShowerShampoo

The packaging for Men’s Heaven products are just so stylish and classy and look perfect alongside my own Heaven products. It’s a lovely matte black with the branding in white. Shave, Shower, Shampoo by Heaven is a lovely gel formula with a pump action dispenser. For review purposes I have today used this in the bath to shave my legs, so I can give you my point of view. Mark has also given me his opinion.

Ok so let’s start with the ingredients. It has Organic Coconut and Rosemary, Vitamins A and E and Sandalwood. It smells amazing, it’s fresh and clean smelling and the Rosemary fragrance really comes through. While using the product to shave my legs, the fragrance really gave me a wake up call, it’s fabulous! I really could have gone all the way and used it to wash my body too, but it’s Marks and he loves it so I can’t be greedy and steal his product.

Okay, so in the bath I squeezed 2 pumps of the Shave, Shower, Shampoo gel onto my hand and smoothed it over my leg. It’s not “soapy” it’s a very gentle lather and a little of the product went a long way. I used a razor that I’ve already used a couple of times so it’s not a brand new blade, but the shave gel gave me a super close shave and left me with lovely smooth legs. Once I dried my legs I noticed that there was no stickiness to them. I’ve used shave gels on my legs before and they all left me with sticky feeling skin. I loved this for shaving my legs, and I shall pinch it again!

This is what Mark had to say: “Feel my skin, feel my hair! I just used Heaven Shave, Shower, Shampoo gel. It’s so nice. I didn’t even have to use conditioner on my hair after shampooing, and my face is so smooth, it gives a nice smooth shave. I like this”

I have to admit Marks hair was super soft and shiny and he does get a lovely smooth shave, he also smelled very nice too. If you want to treat your man to a bath/shower product that you can pinch too then click HERE to take you to Heaven Shave, Shower, Shampoo.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Organic Surge Moisture Boost Shampoo and Conditioner, My thoughts…

Welcome back lovely people.

As you may have seen from a previous post, Mark bought me some beautiful products from Organic Surge. He found them at, of all places our local Co-Op. He bought me the Moisture Boost shampoo and conditioner and also the eye gel. I have used all of them in the past after I won a competition with The Guardian newspaper, there were a ton of products for me to get through and I still have an unused hand wash over a year later!  It was actually because I won all the Organic Surge products that I decided to start writing a blog. This shampoo and conditioner are two of my favourite products from them.

All Organic Surge products are NOT tested on animals and are suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Also free from harsh chemicals, parabens, SLS. There are no artificial colouring or fragrance and no genetically modified ingredients.

So firstly, the shampoo. It’s suitable for dry, frizzy or colour treated hair, and I do colour my hair and it does get dry on the ends when it’s ready for a trim, I’m lucky that I don’t suffer from frizzy hair.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the shampoo was the absolutely delicious fragrance. It has a citrus fragrance to it. It  contains lemon peel extract to help put the shine back into the hair as it flattens the cuticle of the hair shaft, so I guess that’s where I get the citrus fragrance from. It also has organic olive leaf and grape-vine extracts within it. The olive leaf is a natural anti oxidant which will help to restores silkiness back to the hair. While washing my hair with this shampoo I didn’t get a lot of lathering as it doesn’t contain SLS which can strip the hair and cause damage, it’s a light lather but it cleanses my hair beautifully and leaves it feeling fresh and clean, but yet it doesn’t feel “stripped” even after a double wash.I  apply shampoo then rinse, then wash again and rinse. This is a beautiful shampoo and it comes in a massive 250ml tube (which can go right into the recycling bin when you have used it up) it’s worth every penny of the £5.99. Love Love Love! Take a look at the Organic Surge website HERE

The Moisture Boost conditioner is equally as beautiful containing the same ingredients as the shampoo plus some extra goodies for the hair, like a blend of thyme and fennel extracts to help stop hair breakage and orange essential oil to help detoxify the hair. This will go a very long way because you don’t need a lot of product to get beautiful conditioning. I have neck length thick hair and I used a “blob” (for want of a better word) about the size of  a 50 pence piece and massaged into my hair and left it in for about a minute, before rinsing out. I didn’t put any product on my hair while I was drying it as I wanted to see how it felt after using both shampoo and conditioner. My hair felt so soft and silky and I didn’t have any flyaway’s either. The conditioner is also £5.99. But on their website you can buy them both for £10.78 at the moment. What a bargain for beautiful healthy shiny hair!

I am so happy that Mark found Organic Surge in our local Co-Op, but he said you really have to hunt the shelves for the products, they don’t have their own designated shelves. The shampoo and conditioner were with all the other hair care brands. I want to try the new Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser but Mark didn’t see it in the store. But that’s okay because I’m still using my gorgeous Daily Care Facial Wash.

Okay, lovely people that’s the hair care sorted, I shall be back to share the Eye Gel soon, in the meantime if you click HERE it will take you to Organic Surge website.

Thank you for reading, take care.
