Latest in Beauty Aveda Damage Remedy for Hair. British Beauty Blogger Edit…

Hello lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Last weekend I took delivery of the new Latest in Beauty Box, British Beauty Blogger Edit, it’s packed with gorgeous hair products from Aveda. British Beauty Blogger aka Jane Cunningham has been bringing out her beauty boxes for Latest in Beauty for a while and this is just the second one I managed to get, they always sell out so quickly. There were three Aveda boxes to choose from depending on your hair type. I chose Damage Remedy for my dry, coloured hair. I’ve yet to use the products because I want to go to the hairdresser for a trim first. But as soon as I have used anything, I shall get back to you with my thoughts. But my first thoughts when I opened my box was of complete pleasure. Not only are the products fabulous, but everything is completely recyclable! I love that.

So what did I get in my box? There are two full size products, two trial size products and to complete the Aveda experience 3 sachets of herbal tea! I’m looking forward to going to the hairdresser on Saturday and then using my new hair products, and I shall get back to you with some reviews after.

Restructuring Shampoo (250ml)

Restructuring Conditioner (200ml)

Daily Hair Repair (25ml)

Shampure Hand & Body Wash (50ml)

Aveda Comforting Tea Bag

I have tried to get my hands on a BBB box since her first one and always missed out before, this time I wasn’t going to miss it and I was delighted when Mark said my box was ordered!

Latest in Beauty Box……Heart Beauty Essentials….

Hello again my lovelies.

IMG_2259

Mark bought me the new beauty box from Latest In Beauty which arrived on Thursday. It’s in collaboration with Heart radio station and it’s called Heart Beauty Essentials. It’s very lovely. I’ve always wanted to get into beauty boxes, and there’s a few around now. With most of them you have to pay a monthly subscription, but with Latest in Beauty’s boxes they give us one-off themed boxes, which is always chock-a-block with products from fabulous brands, some full size and some mini/travel/trial size. I’ve had two boxes now, and both times I’ve been gobsmacked by what’s inside.

IMG_2276

There is nothing in the Heart Beauty Essentials box that I won’t use. So, what do you get? From the left, a sample size of bareMinerals Complexion Rescue, a hydrating gel cream that combines skincare and coverage, it’s a bb cream, cc cream and tinted moisturiser in one product! The award winning Philosophy 3-in-1 Cleanser it removes makeup from the eyes, cleanses and tones the skin and lightly moisturises too. Next are two 50ml products from Dove, Youthful Vitality shampoo & Conditioner. Contains one of my favourite ingredients, Coconut Oil which made me love it right away. I’ve already used both products today, so a review will be coming soon! Next up, Green People Sun Lotion SPF 15 with Tan Accelerator, this is a 20ml size of product it smells amazing and is also organic too. They say trials have shown that you can tan faster by 25% when you use this lotion and the tan fading slows down by 50%. Sounds great to me, it means time spent out in the sun is reduced. Balance Me Radiance Face Mask is one of my favourite products in the box, I love the brand! I used the mask this morning, and it does what it says on the tube, it’s brightened my complexion completely, my skin is so much more radiant. Amie Hydrating Daily Moisturiser 100ml of product and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans as it’s free from any animal extracts. It’s paraben free and free of mineral oils. It’s also pH balanced. I haven’t tried this moisturiser yet, so I’ll get back to you with that. Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels 3.2g sachet containing a pair of eye gels to place under each eye for 10 minutes to help firm and de-puff tired eyes. Contains Icelandic glacial water which helps to tone and brighten too. Kneipp Devil’s Claw Herbal Bath contains natural essential oils and is beneficial for relaxing the back, shoulders and neck, a 20ml sample which is enough for 2 baths. Wild About Beauty Eyeshadow in the shade Alana. I’m not sure if everyone gets the same shade in the box or if there are other shades too. But this eyeshadow is skin friendly containing ingredients such as Aloe Vera and vitamins E and C. I’m thinking that this is a full size product in the box, 2.5g. Le Couvent des Minimes Cloisters Hand Cream smells absolutely divine! It’s deliciously floral and completely moisturising for hands, it’s gone straight into my handbag to use on the go. I had never heard of this brand, but because it smells so good I want to find more! This is a trial size 25ml. Vichy Idealia Life Serum is a 3ml sample. Suitable for all skin types and is paraben free. I’ve used this up already! There was enough for just one use, it’s to help skin look more radiant and even out the skintone, pores are meant to be reduced. Nails Inc Gel Effect nail polish in the shade Hyde Park Place. This is a full size nail polish in a gorgeous grey shade, one of my favourite colours for my nails so I was very happy to get this in my box. I’m wearing it now so I shall be writing a review on the wearability soon. Lastly in this amazing box of goodies is a cute little Heart shaped Face Cloth. You just immerse the heart in water and it expands, it’s ideal for removing your cleansers, masks and exfoliators.

So, for 13 products with a value worth over £70, I think that this box is fantastic value for £15.00, especially as I shall use everything in it. Ordering is easy from Latest in Beauty, and delivery very quick. We ordered this box on Sunday and I received it on Thursday, the only problem is with the courier. It’s Yodel, who never knock on the door to put the parcel in my hand, they always leave it on the doorstep. It wouldn’t be so bad if they wanted to leave it on the doorstep, if they could just knock or ring the bell so that I knew it was there? My First Beauty Box!!

Hello lovelies!

I’m a bit late to the party when it comes to beauty boxes, you know those gorgeous subscription ones that you get sent every month, the ones that contain beauty products some full size and some trial/travel size, which can also be a bit hit and miss? You know the ones I mean don’t you? Mark actually surprised me with one this week he bought one for me from Latest in Beauty.

IMG_1644

He bought me The Glamour Spring Edit Beauty Box, which is in conjunction with Glamour magazine. The box itself is a pretty mint green and purple, very Springlike and very sturdy too.

IMG_1631

The products themselves are wrapped in pretty polka dot tissue paper and holding it together is a sticky seal with the logo. On top of the products were three information cards. One card tells me what the products are, one is a card which gives you discount codes for the brands in the box, and lastly there is a card with a pre-paid subscription code to Glamour magazine, 12 print issues + 12 ipad and iphone editions.

IMG_1683

OMG! That was me when I opened the tissue wrapping. The contents are just fabulous. There are 8 FULL SIZE products in this box. From Revlon there is a Gel Envy nail polish and top coat, From Beauty UK, the very popular High Brow eyebrow kit, from Kiko a long-lasting stick eyeshadow, from Model Co a cream lip and cheek tint and the last cosmetics product is a pretty lip gloss from Rimmel. Also in this box of beautiful treasures is a Nuxe hydrating face mask and a Moroccan Oil hair mask, lastly there’s a cute little sample of an Ellie Saab perfume. I believe that there is approximately £69 worth of products in the Glamour Spring Edit box, plus the pre-paid subscription to Glamour magazine too, this is just outstanding value for just £16.99. Absolutely amazing! I’m yet to try all the products but as soon as I do I shall be back telling you my thoughts. In the meantime, if you would like to see this box and more then just click HERE to go to the Latest In Beauty website.

See you soon.

My Birthday Haul……

Hello and welcome back lovelies!

I’ve just had my 55th Birthday and Mark bought me a few Makeup Revolution and MUA Makeup Academy goodies, I had a bit of money for my birthday too so I bought myself some skin care and other bits and pieces.

Birthday Haul

So, Mark bought me from Makeup Revolution “Beyond Flawless” eyeshadow palette, “Flawless Matte” eyeshadow palette, “All About Cream” blusher palette and a 3 highlight powders palette. From MUA Makeup Academy he bought me, from MUA LUXE the “Whipped Velvet” blusher in the shade “Rococo” and “Whipped Velvet” lip lacquer in the same shade “Rococo”. I will of course be writing reviews of all my new products so keep watching!

With my birthday money I treated myself to some new skin care, and this time I opted for Superdrug’s own brand of “Naturally Radiant” day cream, night cream and eye cream. I bought Superdrug facial cleansing wipes (yes I know I’ve said in the past that they are awful things to cleanse your skin with, but I shall be using them to remove swatches, and while I’m testing different lip colours etc) I’ve never used a dry shampoo before so I bought a Superdrug one, I also bought a lip product from MUA it’s the Lip Switch Matte Shine Duo which is actually a definite WOW! for me, and I shall be getting myself a few more shades, I can’t wait to review that for you. Lastly I bought some pretty nail art stickers to add some finishing touches to my Spring/Summer manicures. The gorgeous black makeup bag was free with the Superdrug 3 for 2 over all cosmetics offer. I actually got two makeup bags because Mark bought six items!

Thank You for reading today, and please come back soon when I shall have some reviews of these beauties to share with you.
