“Pink Paws” – Just for Fun!

Hey everyone!

I thought I would do something a bit different this post, just a little bit of fun!

My daughter loves trainers, anything Adidas. My son-in-law has bought her a really gorgeous pair recently. So gorgeous in fact, she won’t wear them outside! They are Pink Poodles, designed by Jeremy Scott for Adidas. I love them, so I thought I would share them with  you.

They really are as fluffy as they look, soooo super cute!!

So that was just a “quickie” for now. I shall be back soon with more reviews. Hope you are having a great weekend.

Freebies!!

Hey there everyone. I hope you are all okay and had a great weekend!

So, who doesn’t love a freebie? I know I do. My other half will always get me magazines that has freebies inside for me. Marie Claire, In Style, Cosmopolitan, I have had some nice little freebies over the last 6 months or so. I have also had Calvin Klein’s new fragrance sample sent to me from Boots.

When I first get the magazines they can sometimes feel as though they are “stuffed” with things inside, and more often than not they are. So before I begin reading I go through the pages and find various sachets stuck within the pages. Sometimes I can use them, sometimes not. There is always perfume samples or shampoo/conditioner sachets, sometimes “Premium” brand skin care can be found amongst the pages too, serums or eye cream for example. I have had magazines where there have been a sachet of shower gel too.

As you can see, I have had some pretty nice freebies over the last few months, maybe 6 months. Let’s take a random look at the products that have been gracing the likes of Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and In Style.

There has been quite a few full sized products too. Like these gorgeous nail polishes from Ciate. Which work out to be a real bargain, as you pay about £3.95 for your magazine, while one of these nail polishes would set you back £9.00 each. These were from 3 different months by the way, it wasn’t all three in one mag. As you can see they are well loved, one bottle is missing it’s ribbon.

In another month I got a gorgeous Nails Inc nail polish. These are priced at £11.00 each. It is a beautiful berry colour called “Tate”

IMG_4501

Another very lovely freebie was this Avon lipstick and mascara. These were together in the same magazine along with a sample sachet of their BB Cream. I think the lipstick is about £8.00 to buy, and the mascara between £5.00-£10.00 so that is quite a bargain for a £3.95 magazine again. The mascara is in black and it has the curved brush for curling the lashes, I haven’t tried it yet but I will be and do a proper review asap.

As for the lipstick, it is a gorgeous deep red very creamy very moisturising and quite glossy too. I thought that being red, at my age it would look awful on me but I actually like it if I have quite a natural eye look.

IMG_4511

This I have only had a few days from Marie Claire magazine. It is a serum and I have been using it every day. You only need few drops and my skin feels so soft. I have been using it mainly around the eye area. This was a 7ml bottle. The full size bottle from Clinique will cost from £39.50 to £85.00.

IMG_4512

This next freebie I was really chuffed getting. It’s a liquid eyeliner in black from Eyeko the “felt tipped pen” sort. I have been practising applying eyeliner with it and I am getting there. This when purchased would have set me back £10.00!

IMG_4519

These next few sample sachets were all attached to various pages within the magazines, so it’s always worth checking through your mags to see what you can find.

IMG_4517

Some samples do last for more than one application, this one above gave me two mornings worth.

IMG_4516

I used the shampoo that was attached to this conditioner. They were quite big sample sachets too.

IMG_4479

A gorgeous little find was this beautiful perfume sample from Dolce + Gabbana called “Intense”

IMG_4452

This last sample freebie I got last week from Boots to announce the beautiful new fragrance from Calvin Klein.  It’s a 1.2ml vial, and this actually has a spray so you can spritz on the perfume. It really is a lovely fragrance too.

I thought I would save the best till last. My favourite freebie just has to be these super sun glasses! I was getting pretty bored with my usual pink shades and I was looking to have a change. My other half came in with my magazine and inside was this gorgeous pair of sunnies! You could choose which style of glasses you liked best. Wayfarer style or Aviator style or these which he knew I would like most. They aren’t branded, just a very nice pair of tortoise shell effect sun glasses. They are quite dark too, and they protect my eyes from the glare of the sun i do prefer quite dark sun glasses. I should think if I was to purchase these in a store they would probably cost about £10.00.

So, that’s my freebies from the last few months. I am expecting some more freebies very soon. One is a sample of  a new Jo Malone fragrance called Peony and Blush Suede, and also I have been chosen along with 199 other ladies to trial new products for Avon’s Anew range. I am really excited about that. I have to trial it for a month, so when I have done my stuff for Avon I will let you know how I got on.

Thats about it for now, I would love to know what freebies you have enjoyed from your glossy mags. Let me know here or pop over to my Facebook page.

Take care……Toodle Pip!

My Beauty Wish List….

Hey everyone, I hope you are all well and Living Life Beautifully!

I thought I would do something a bit different with this post. Those of you who are regular viewers of my blog will know that I am a beauty on a budget kind of blogger. But hey, I do still wish for those more premium brands, those brands that are out of reach at the moment. So, I thought I would show you the products that are on my beauty wish list. Actually not just beauty though, there is fragrance, skin care, make up, some fashion items and electrical too! I’m not doing them in any particular order, its completely random. So here goes.

JO MALONE FRAGRANCE main_index

Oh yes please! I would love to have a Jo Malone cologne standing on my dressing table and her bath products in the bathroom. Each fragrance name just makes me think that it would smell divine. English Pear and Freesia sounds incredible, I think that if I could afford a Jo Malone Cologne I would go for this one. But there are quite a few to choose from. White Jasmine and Mint, Amber and Lavender, and French Lime Blossom the list goes on. Jo Malone is also known for her home fragrance too. Room spray, linen spray and of course candles.  A 30ml bottle of cologne is £39.00 and a 100ml is £78.00. Yes this will have to be on my wish list for now.

CHANEL NO5 no5 edp 100 ml

Yes I know I already have a fragrance on my wish list, but I have always loved the iconic Chanel no5. It’s mainly because it was my late Mothers’ favourite perfume, it always reminds me of her. I do have one of her empty purse spray bottles in my dressing table drawer, and every so often I take it out and have a quick smell. I love the look of  the Chanel no5 bottle with the beautiful amber coloured fragranced liquid within it. It is the Parfum that is on my wish list, and if I was to have a bottle of my own I would have to keep it in a drawer away from the light. A 7.5ml bottle of  Chanel no5 Parfum is £87.50 from The Perfume Shop here in the UK. I think this will be on my wish list for quite a long time.

CHANEL VITALUMIERE AQUA FOUNDATION

One day I hope to try this.  I have seen many tutorials on You Tube where this has been used, and it looks amazing. It is light reflecting and moisturising, the packaging looks beautiful just as Chanel should be.  You get 30ml for £31.00 at Boots here in the UK. I think I shall be sticking to my faithful Undress Your Skin from MUA for a wee while.

NO!NO!

62-4440491SPA78UC1187223M

The thought of never having to shave ever again would be just a dream. It would stop the horrid in-growing hairs I sometimes get. Now at the age of 53 I am getting sodding hair where I shouldn’t be getting them! On my ears, chin and even half way down my neck for pity’s sake! I don’t shave my face, I pluck the little blighter’s out, if I had a NO!NO! I wouldn’t have to bother anymore. but once again this is out of my reach for the time being. So I shall keep on plucking! I have seen a NO!NO! at the high street catalogue shop Argos for £134.99.

EMMA HARDIE AMAZING FACE LIFT AND SCULPT MORINGA CLEANSING BALM

Emma_Hardie_Amazing_Face_Natural_Lift_and_Sculpt_Moringa_Cleansing_Balm_100ml_1366185206

When I first saw this product and what it is meant to do for the skin, I just fell in love with it. But I couldn’t  justify the price tag of £34.00 for 100ml of product. When I researched it though, I found out that it more than just a cleanser for the face. You can also leave it on the face for about 10 minutes as a face mask, use it as a lip balm, massage into dry areas i.e elbows, knees and heels of feet so it is a multi-tasker eh. I did find this cleansing balm on the Feel Unique website on sale for £28.90 and free delivery.

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN SHOES

Now what woman would not want a pair of these super beautiful shoes gracing her “plates of meat” (feet) with their iconic red soles. I mean the soles of the shoes are iconic red, not the soles of the feet!  I tried to win a pair in a competition but I was unlucky.  I would go for a pair of black patent mid heel shoes, I wouldn’t be able to walk in the huge platform ones unfortunately. I found “my” shoes on the Louboutin website priced at £395. While most things on my wishlist are in theory achievable,  I fear that these beauties will remain a dream.

Well, that is my wish list.  I could have gone on with quite a few more too. I would love to hear if  anyone has any of the things on my list. Let me know what they are like, especially the Louboutin shoes!  You can leave me your comments here, or over on my facebook page.

Take care till next time…..
